Danny K.Women's Tapestry Bag Shoulder Handbag, Large Zipper Purse Handmade in the USA

The fabric is really nice and it feels sturdy. I don't love the strap as its like dog leash material (nylon webbing?). It will probably last a long time but I looks kinda cheap compared to the bag itself. However, it easily clips off and can be replaced with something different very easily. I did not anticipate how narrow it is. I had to reduce what I carry to fit this bag. It's narrowness is not entirely a bad thing though as it does make the bag easier to carry - it fits nicely against my body. I've taken a picture with this bag beside a standard pop can to give a better idea of its size. It arrived in a about a week so very reasonable time frame for delivery. I've never bought an expensive hand bag before but it does appear to be of very good quality and seems it will wear well so it may well be worth the cost.

This is the 4th Danny K product I have purchased. I have used their products for over 10 years. The quality of these bags is outstanding and this bag is no exception. I purchased the "Bluebird" tapestry pattern. The bag is eye catching. This bag holds my wallet (full length), Kleenex pack, keys, sunglasses and lipsticks. The interior has one zippered pocket. There is also an exterior zippered pocket with sleeves sewn in to hold my iPhone XR and an iPod. There are two exterior sleeve type open pockets which could hold sunglasses or Kleenex or receipts. I will repeat what other reviewers have said, this bag is much lighter than comparably sized leather bags. A couple of years ago I tried using leather bags again but after bringing out one of my lightweight tapestry bags from Danny K, I decided to by this bag.

I love Danny K bags, I have at least a half dozen of them in varying sizes and styles. I am reviewing my most recent, the “large purse” (which really isn’t very large, but is the size of the listed dimensions) in Wild Mango.I love this purse for travel, it will fold flat in your suitcase to be used on arrival. Also slim enough to use inside a large tote you might carry for travel. The fabrics are beautiful and artfully designed. The pockets are useful and functional. Craftsmanship is beautiful and I know from experience these bags are durable. And I like supporting companies that manufacture in the USA.My only very slight criticism isn’t of the product but of the listing. Because such unique fabrics are used, there will be differences in the execution and placement of fabric design. I am including photos of what I received (front and back) for comparison to the listing. Both are beautiful but they are not the same. I have been known to stand in a store and compare bags, mulling over which placement I like best. Honestly, if I had been mulling over these two bags, the one in the listing and the one I received, I probably would have chosen the one in the listing, but I’m really not certain. I like the one I got and because I have so many of these bags I was not surprised that I received a variation. I do think the listing could be improved by mentioning this however. Best to create realistic expectations.

I am so happy that the fabric looks just like it is pictured. The handbag is very well made, smart looking, and quite lightweight. I am using it for days that I need to carry a purse for longer than usual. Although it can hold quite a bit, I love it for the days I am going for a day of shopping, or when I am traveling, and I pack it very light to keep the weight off my neck and shoulders. There aren't many pockets, but for my purposes that is perfect. Since it is slim, it easily fits under my coat which helps protect it from thieves. The strap is adjustable and strong, but is very plain – a heavy grosgrain ribbon style. However, it is effective in keeping the handbag lightweight and it is in proportion to the bag. I am well pleased with this purchase!

Love, love this handbag! It’s the perfect size.I have another Danny K bag, a few inches smaller, as much as I love it, there is not enough room for my wallet, phone and eye glass case. The material is beautiful and the workmanship is fantastic as always. I have many leather and “high end” bags but these days I want my bag as light as possible but still fashionable and unique. You will always be pleased with a Danny K creation!
