When I saw the box I was slightly disappointed, the box is pretty small and there's so much writing and stuff going on on the box it's rather overwhelming to look at to actually realise what it is, if you didn't know what it did you wouldn't realise it was mechanical.I think whoever designed the box needs to tone it down a bit and make it a bit more simpler and more clear that it's mechanical as that's really not clear..Building it is easy enough. For a child, an adult may be needed to assist but it depends on the age and age. I think an 8 year old would need help though.Once the dinosaur is built it is a pretty bad ass toy and it's mechanical walk is cool. Knowing that you've just built a robot toy is a pretty awesome feeling. I couldn't hold onto it long enough to take a video before my nephew ran off with it!

The product is good to develop a child fine motor skills, a young child would need help with assembling the dinosaur toy.The parts are well made and come together well.It’s a good project to do with your child or an older child could manage to build this toy independently.Two in one building and playing.

The media could not be loaded.  I, a 40 year old woman, took one hour to build this. I ordered it for me, I am not ashamed.It's reasonably easy to assemble, a couple of bits are fiddly to get in the right place or clicked in (adults, you will be required to assist, if a child is building this!), but it's not too bad over all. My fingers are a bit sore from the spiky bits!The instructions are OK, think IKEA-style and you're not far off. Each step has a photo, some could be clearer but most are good enough.The parts all come in bags separated as parts A1,2,3, B1,2,3 etc. Unfortunately the bag aren't labelled, but it's pretty straightforward to work out which is which. A good A3 parts guide is included, very helpful!It's reasonably sturdy when it's all clicked together. Not sure it would stand up to rough play, but I think if a kid took the time to put this together they'd be less inclined to throw it around!You can see what it's like when it's going from the video. I can imagine kids finding it amusing. It did make me chuckle!All in all, not a bad little kit really.

This battle t-rex comes as a model kit to be assembled. After cutting the parts free of the mold it's not too difficult to put together. It is designed for older children around 8+. We sat on the floor and made it together as a family. Its great for getting the kids to read and follow instructions which were clear enough for them to understand. It doesn't take too much time and its rewarding to play with something they helped build. Once it has been assembled, you can move it's limbs, tail and jaw. You can also make its blade wings move in and out. Once assembled it is not designed to come apart again. It requires 1 AAA battery and when switched on it walks and moves it's jaw, tail and wings. It looks pretty cool and the kids had a good time with it.

Stem toys dinosaur building kit for kids. This has a recommended age bracket of 6-12 years which is about accurate. It’s a little bit fiddly to put together so the lower age may need some adult assistance. Much fun to be had however along with an educational aspect as always with Stem toys. Arrived very well presented with clear instructions for building and educational facts throughout. Set at a very fair price to which I I would happily buy again.

This is a great gift for young kids! Really well packaged and not sharp pieces although some small pieces. I think it can be suitable for younger kids aswell but my nephew built it in two ticks. REally well designed and easy to follow instructions, and hours of play to follow. Great idea for the holidays.

As soon as this arrived my 10 year old was keen to open it. I've told him we will do it over the weekend, but looking at the box it looks like it will be quite fiddly and keep him busy for a while. Says suitable for 8+ which I would say was probably about right due to the smaller pieces and how difficult it looks like it may be to build.

This is a great item for a present - ideal for most ages to be honest amazing quality arrived well packed, all parts present ✅ set for ages 8 + but my boy who is dinosaur mad absolutely smashed it, looks great once completed
