Cervical support my neck needs.
I have tried so many cervical pillows over the years and this one has been the best. I have serious bone loss in my neck and this pillow has given me the support I need. I’m a side sleeper and it cradles my neck perfectly. I lay my head down and it’s comfortable instantly, I don’t have to fidget to get it to feel “right”, it allows me to fall asleep easily. I have been telling all my doctors about my new pillow and take it with me when I travel. I just bought a second one to leave at my daughter’s. Having pain relief, means a better night’s sleep, and I’m loving that!

Neck pain relief in one night's sleep
I never realized how important proper neck support is while you sleep until I slept the first night on this pillow. I have a bone spur in my neck that caused me much pain and many sleepless nights. My neck pain vanished after that first night using this pillow, and even after a month of use the pillow still feels new. I have slept in all positions comfortably, even on my stomach. Somehow your neck fits in the groove no matter which position you choose. The design of this pillow seems a bit awkward but highly functional....the extra pillow extension for your arms seems to prevent my arms going numb and there are two different incline heights to choose from if you need a change of height (in addition to being able to remove the extra layer). I can't help but thinking that I may have never developed a bone spur had I slept on a pillow like this. I do believe this pillow is exceptional since I reviewed hundreds of pillows and ultimately chose this one because of its versatile design. Well worth the price!

After a week of adapting to the design and feel, I am coming to really like this pillow!
At first, I missed the squishy, comfy feel of my standard pillow! But I really wanted to give this a try because I have been having neck discomfort and a frozen shoulder which my usual pillow and sleep position seemed to be aggravating. I sleep on my side and my back. This pillow is a bit firmer than a standard pillow but is shaped to give added support around the neck area. I’ve been using it a little over a week now and am coming to really like it. I am sleeping well and no aggravation to my neck or shoulder so I’m happy! If you decide to try it, just be prepared for a short adjustment period getting used to it. After a couple of days you may be surprised at how much you like it! Giving it a 4 star only because of initial adjustment it took to get used to it - enjoy!

The only pillow I'll ever want
To preface, I have shoulders that hyperextend, slip in and out of socket, etc. I've always been like this and it's impacted my sleep. For years, I've slept on my side with my arm under my head, but instead of supporting my head on my arm as normal people do, my elbow would point directly up at the headboard and my head would rest on the pillow on top of my flattened, displaced shoulder/forearm. This was fine and comfortable for me, but it cut off circulation to my hands and made them completely numb and hard to move in the morning. I already have nerve damage in one from an unrelated incident and I assumed routine poor circulation would only make things worse, so I tried combinations of pillows to find something that would make it easier for me to not do THAT or to at least limit the numb hands. It's also worth mentioning that I have issues sleeping and if I'm in any way uncomfortable, I can't sleep at all. This pillow took me from needing three pillows (one for my head, my waist, and occasionally my side) and a body pillow to just this and a body pillow for extra comfort. I've NEVER liked sleeping on my back, but I can with this pillow if I want to. There are shoulder divets in the edges of the pillow that give a hollow for my arm in a way that a human arm SHOULD rest. It's great for resting on my stomach if I want to play video games or mess with my phone for long periods, and I had no adjustment period at all. It's also helped with some light snoring, according to my spouse. I fully attribute this to how well it fills/supports the space between my shoulder, neck, and head.I don't normally like memory foam pillows, as I've always preferred feather pillows. Memory foam always felt either too stiff or not stiff enough. This pillow is some mythical middle ground that just works for me and reminds me a lot of my very expensive feather pillow, which was surprising. It stays pretty cool, getting up to a comfortable body temp level once you've been laying on it for a while. I've had better/more efficient cooling pillows, but that's not a priority for me.Also, it's worth noting that I have several ear piercings, including industrials and conch piercings, none of which are bothered by this pillow, however they are established piercings. That said, the hole in the center will likely NOT be where your ear ends up.TLDR: great for people with poor sleep posture in the neck/shoulder area, helps with poor circulation to hands, and might help with snoring. Really fills the space between head/shoulder/neck and is a good medium firmness. Reminds me of a well-stuffed feather pillow. Cooling isn't the best I've had, but that wasn't the priority when I got this pillow and it's still pretty good. May help side sleepers comfortably sleep on back.

Helpful at first but in the long run
The pillow initially helped with neck pain but after a few months, it did not. The pillow is too high or too firm no matter which side I used. The gap under my neck was too wide and so my nights were sleepless. I recently purchased a softer pillow filled with memory foam. Now, I use the orthotic pillow under my knees.
