Very tough, survived the first boiling hot summer and looks brand new. Fantastic. Used over my 8x8 greenhouse.

The photos are misleading and the 20 feet length can't be achieved. Deeply regret ordering cheap looking net. The positive review with five star rating does not describe this product.

This is a GREAT shade cloth! First, it is well made. There are no frays or loose fibers. Next it has a reinforced edge. Numerous strong threads hold the edges along the length of the shade. I bought a 10' length and that's what it measured when I unpacked it. Third, that reinforced edge I mentioned, it has eyelet (like button holes) about every 2-3" inches. This allowed me to weave some garden string through it and hang it in a supportive way. My garden box has two levels. The lower box is only about 6" inches deep. It's filled with herbs and flowers. The box faces south, so it gets a lot of sun. This summer with continuous daily highs reaching between 105-109 degrees F, it was just too much for the plants! Even watering more often didn't prevent the sun scorching. This shade cloth was a salvation. Because I ordered a 6.5' width, I doubled it up, wove string through the upper end and attached it to the grommets in the shade cloth that runs above the box. Voila! My gerbera daisies in the lower box were no longer droopy or dried out. The herbs looked great! This cloth is a life saver! No smell. Well packaged. I'll buy this brand again!

I ordered this Cool Area Sunblock Shade Cloth Cover Mesh (6.5' x 10') for my aloe plant. I have been fighting with it for a few years since it decided that the sun in the northeast is too strong, even with very limited direct exposure. Ironically, it's a direct descendant of an aloe plant I had that did fine outside in the Texas summer sun (with similarly limited sun exposure). My current aloe burns within a day or so of even the slightest direct sun now. However, it wants to be outside when the temperature is suitable (inside the house, it doesn’t burn but barely grows). I decided to try this mesh cloth, and it has proven to be exactly what my aloe wanted. My only disappointment was that the mesh was not stitched on all 4 sides, only the 2 long sides (the description implied that it was full stitching). I decided to use it folded in half (so only one side has the unsecured edges), draped it over some supports I put on the planter, and added a few clips to hold it in place. I draped it so one side (that never gets direct sunlight) is partially open, to make it easier to water and access the plant. Rain does get through the top just fine (so I really could water it from the top, but I like the access anyway). My aloe has been outside (in mostly full sun) with the cover and THRIVING for over a month (since mid-July). There is no sign of burning or distress, and it’s growing well now. Although I’m a little concerned with how long the unstitched sides will last long term, it seems to be holding well so far, and I consider it a good value and do recommend it.
