Ginkgo International Lafayette 65-Piece Stainless Steel Flatware Set, Service for 12

Great quality for the price--was hesitant buying 18.0 stainless--however, have been pleasantly surprised. This silverware is beautiful and I could not find any flaws on any piece. It is thicker and heavier and just has a good weight overall. I don't like a pointy spoon, so the rounded spoons are just perfect. The silverware has held up very, very well in the dishwasher--no "spots" that can sometimes appear on less expensive silverware. I looked and looked before I bought this set that was medium priced with a good quality. I am entirely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone. The only "sad" part for me is that I could not afford to buy American made.

Love this flatware. I was running out of my current flatware (where do the small forks and spoons go?!) and refused to buy more at the ridiculous price that my old set was. I love the hammered look and took a gamble ordering online without seeing or holding the silverware. But these turned out great! Nice and sturdy, you'd be hard pressed to bend a fork tine with your bare hands. I did have one knife get two small rust spots after its first run through the dishwasher, but I bought the 12 piece set anticipating some would get ruined by me or my kids so I'm not heartbroken. For the price, this is a great set! I've owned it for almost a month now and I run the dishwashers daily, so these things have been through a lot already. They still look shiny and great! I just hope I can still buy more when I need to replace missing pieces in a few years. I would highly recommend.

I waited to write this review. I even kept the box prepared to send these back if they started to rust per previous reviews I read. However, they didn't rust and I syill love my new silverware! They are decently heavy and the hammered look is subtle, not too much or too little. I have seen my larger, heavier, more expensive sets at Bed Bath and Beyond, but I think I prefer these. The bonus gift set is what sold me. Having larger serving utensils that match and aren't extra are a great perk. I would recommend this silverware and seller again.

Beautiful silverware, with a nice heft to it and a bargain price. I love the spoons especially, they have a nice deep concave, and confortable round edges. I noticed a couple pieces seemed to have plating issues on the backside and seemed a tad rough, but not enough to really complain about. Highly recommended.

Nice flatware good quality . Was A little nervous since I did not ask my wife . Fortunately she loved this set of flatware . They are not cheap and thin and they don't weigh a ton just the right weight . Very nice.

I waited to review this until we had used them over a period of two months. You can't beat the price for this set. Out of the box, they were all perfect, mirrored high-shine finish and heavy. They do not feel cheap at all! The pieces are the perfect weight. Feel substantial but not too heavy that my children can't use the small fork and spoon. They stack nicely in the drawer so I still feel like I have room for another service for four (or more). A couple of the pieces have a couple of stains on them which is why I gave it four stars, but it's not that noticeable. After two months of solid use, they still look shiny and bright without any dulling to the mirror finish. Despite a couple small stains, I still intend to buy more of this flatware. I shopped everywhere for attractive hammered flatware and found that they only ones I liked better were priced per place setting. A service of 12 would have cost me $500 or more. This is by far the best looking boxed set of hammered flatware and I shopped Oneida, Reed & Barton, Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn and all department store brands. Best part is that the knife has a serrated edge so you can actually use it to cut things (imagine that!). So many sets just include a butter knife and then offer steak knives at additional cost. Love this set!

I bought the 65 piece set two years ago (along with some accessory pieces) and we use them every day. These are larger and heavier than the cheap sets sold in department stores. I did an inventory today and discovered that a few pieces have been "lost" (likely in the trash, we have a toddler). BB&B sells replacements for a very reasonable price, it would be awesome if I could have ordered them form Amazon instead.I have never had any rust or staining on these, but we don't use a dishwasher and always wash by hand and air dry. I would expect that harsh dish washer soap and wet items trapped for days in a dishwasher could lead to rust.I did have an issue with a single piece missing in my order, but Amazon quickly sent me a whole new set and I sent the other one back.As long as Ginkgo keeps making replacement pieces available, I expect to keep these for a lifetime.

It's very nice was really fast and packaged well. I will look very good on table can use with formal dining.

Excellent product. I know alot of reviews considered tarnishing and staining after 4 monthsI am a water treatment facility operator our conditions are 160alkalinty 180 hardness, chlorine between 0.5-1.2 free chlorine.I gather that people who have issues may be on ground water or increased CaCO3.They are exactly what I expected. Will be buying another set

Aside from a long shipping delay (product was received about 5 weeks after ordering), the items were of an expected high quality, all matched, had a good quality finish and were what we expected.Build quality is sturdy and the looks are great! Highly recommend this product, as long as you are ok waiting a while for Amazon to get it to you.

good quality & looks great any modern dishes-even plain white. Very satisfied with this cutlery.
