Exceeded My Expectations
I'd been researching the ways and means of Onebag travel and decided I needed a better backpack to use as a max size personal item for an upcoming flight with United. I was having a difficult time finding anything I wanted and was about to settle for a cheap gym duffel just to get by, but fortunately I discovered this KT20 pack. Let me tell you, it's a pretty well made little pack for the money. In fact, it has already paid for itself by avoiding just one luggage fee. The dimensions were spot-on thereby maximizing the number of belongings I could take along for the flight without resorting to a carry-on surcharge and/or dealing with long luggage check-in lines, waiting at baggage claims, and the dreaded lost bag. In the event I do need to bring more luggage in the future, this will compliment a roller suitcase nicely by keeping my hands free and my most essential belongings on my person. It has a ballistic nylon shell that is lined and moderately padded giving it a modest, slightly tactical look. The largest compartment rests against the user's back and has a suitcase-style opening that is zippered on 3 sides for full access. Most folks will probably fill this area up with clothes which eliminates the need to equip thicker padding there, and that means more interior space available for your stuff. There is an included unpadded removable shoulder strap if you wish to carry it in messenger bag mode, the connecting hardware for this strap are metal. There are 2 external carrying handles, one on the top and one on the side that can lay flat. They did help when maneuvering my overweight bag in tight aircraft aisles and seat rows, and their padding was appreciated when holding the pack for extended periods while waiting to disembark. There are 4 buckled cinch straps on the outer sides to compress the pack contents, as well as provide a level of protection against (or in the event of) a zipper failure. They can also be used to lash a jacket to the pack once you've made it past United's diminutive luggage sizer. The side bottle holder can carry a typical .5 liter water bottle. The smaller admin section is zippered 3 sides/full access as well and wisely separates your personal items from your packed clothing. It proved to be very functional and features 5 internal (4 zippered) organizing compartments, 2 pen holders, and a lightly padded laptop pouch with a velcro fastening strap. My 13.3 HP Envy 360 fit just fine with room to spare. The 15in version of my laptop should also fit judging by HP's published dimensions. There's also a couple zippered outside compartments that come in handy for storing quick access items like cords, ID's, boarding passes and such that finish out the pack's organizational features. One last thing of note is the rubber headphone opening, it became a tidy solution for routing a USB cord to my phone's backup battery.Despite it being quite small in order to fall within United's personal item size restriction this KT20 proved to be a surprisingly capable travel backpack helping me stay organized (no easy feat) and allowing me to Onebag a 3 day weekend trip using only this pack as luggage. I just needed to wear my jacket while boarding the plane and be strategic about what else I chose to bring along. It's also very lightweight, yet I think it would fare well if I ever needed to surrender it to checked baggage.Changes I would recommend?...I think they should add an adjustable sternum strap and a roller suitcase handle strap, make the clothing section expandable for extra capacity, and sew on a panel of black velcro so people can attach a morale patch if they want to add a little flair. Then it would be about perfect. If KT20 ever needs someone to test drive a prototype of this, look me up. :)

We’ll made
This product appears to be very well made. It fits perfectly under the seat and holds everything needed for a 3-4 day trip. It has paid for itself in a single trip as they are not kidding about the excessive baggage fees.

Perfect for United Airlines
Not being a regular flyer and not knowing how strict the airline would be, I wanted to make sure this would fit under the seat with no issues. I was going to Hawaii on a business trip and the flight was booked by another company for me. I have never flown United and the tickets were basic economy, so no carry-on only a personal bag. This bag was great. I used it as a backpack the entire trip. It is very organized, functional, and durable. I don't fly a lot, but I'm sure it will last me a long time so it is worth the investment. I would say the interior of the bag is magazine size with a little extra length. Great depth, you can put a light jacket and blanket, magazine, snacks, phones and chargers, travel documents, tablet or laptop depending on size. Sturdy zippers. I actually zipped the material into the zipper and thought great now it's ruined, but I got the material out and easily got the zipper back on track and no other issues the entire trip.

Sturdy, well built travel backpack
Took on Spirit airline as personal item. Didn’t overstuff and it fit into their personal item size checker at the airport just fine. Loved that bag opens like a suitcase and doesn’t have to be packed bottom to top like a traditional backpack. Used bundle method of folding all clothes together into one big bundle for 5 day trip plus toiletries and had plenty of space plus a little extra room. Doesn’t come with a chest strap which would be a nice plus especially if you needed to carry it around on your back for any length of time as it was a bit heavy once packed but wasn’t a problem just carrying through the airport to the terminal. Overall well constructed and should hold up for many years of trips.

Very Roomy
I bought this to use on Frontier Airlines. I tried several and found this to have the most room. How can that be for same sized backpacks? The main compartment is one big compartment. No dividers nor zipper pockets galore. While they can be convenient, they take up space. There are pockets on the outside for your laptop and stuff which are sufficient for me.On my most recent trip, Frontier spot checked passengers their bags that looked too large. I saw passengers really pushed hard into the baggage slot (hopefully they didn’t have a laptop!), and struggled to get them out. The spotter took a look at my backpack on my back and said you’re ok and let me continue. Nice.
