Coleman Cooler Standard Drain Plug Assembly - 1 Inch Shaft Length

Item is a direct replacement for the original and fits perfectly and works as it should. Fyi Coleman cooler model numbers are usually stamped on the bottom of the cooler. I looked for a while for my exact model number however I couldnt find it. Not even on the Coleman website. This replacement plug covers a great number of models however I had to measure the old and compare it with the replacement. Measurements were spot on so I ordered, removed the original, installed the new and Im back in business-no more leaks. Just a suggestion, when installing new plug and cover place it so cover opens towards the middle of cooler. My original was opposite and when not in use the cap flipped open and while pulling our cooler around the cap was scuffed up (non functioning by this time) and would not close and keep water from leaking. Sounds basic but after out mishap I actually put a lot of time in finding the right replacement plug as well as trial and error with a few hardware store plugs/covers. Lol shouldn't have been so involved but we live and learn. This product works great, its easy to install and so far its holding up nicely. Hope this helps. The hinges and plug on my Coleman cooler gradually broke off, and the plug came up missing. This is inevitable with these plastic coolers, and it is tolerable as long as the replacement parts can be had for a reasonable cost. While visiting a Coleman outlet store, I bought a replacement drain plug assembly, thinking that one size must fit all. WRONG. When I tried to install the assembly it protruded too far and it became evident I had the wrong part. Turns out I had purchased a 1.5 inch drain assembly but I actually needed the 1 inch drain assembly. Ordered this part and it fit very nicely. No installation issues, the part is original quality (which means it will probably break in five years or so) and it was a reasonable cost when compared to buying another cooler. So, buy this to replace your old cooler drain assembly so you can save some money and keep your old cooler out of the dump. But make sure you check your cooler model to make sure whether you need a 1 inch drain shaft or a 1.5 inch drain shaft. If you get the wrong one, there is no way to make it work. The model number of your cooler should be located on the bottom of the cooler. If you are unable to locate the model number and you are unsure of the drain shaft length, go ahead and remove the old one and measure it. That should solve the problem. Good luck.

The attached part of the drain plug on my old Coleman cooler broke. The plug still worked until I lost it. This solved the problem and saved me a bunch of money compared to a new cooler. Never leaked a drop.

Fit perfectly, no leaks, worth replacing because the cooler is still in mint condition. I pulled to hard and broke it because some how I got stronger actually moving around like everyone told me to do. No couch no more.
