Triplett HS10 Heat Stress WBGT Meter

Bought this for an outdoor site to maintain safety protocols. Worked great until it was left out in heavy rain.

I love this thermometer - tells me the true heat index outside with the incorporation of humidity. It’s a very accurate thermometer as well. I wish I had bought one sooner.

Simple but Effective WGBT DOES EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED IT TO WITHOUT ALL THE BELLS AND WHISTLES.

Works for indoor or outdoor. Instructions were a little more difficult to understand, but helpful

Absolutely amazing, super accurate, fast results. A necessity for a high humidity area!

Just received this WBT. Bought it for work to monitor heat conditions. Installed the batteries. Went through the instructions and set up. It's reading a temp 82.3⁰F, WBGT of 70.2⁰F, and humidity of 45.8%. Well two of the three are close but the Ambient temp is 72⁰F according to my air-conditioning unit. Probably going to return it. Will not work for It's intended purpose.

I spend most of my workdays on construction sites in Arizona where heat stress is a major issue in worker safety. I bought the Triplett WBGT to help monitor job sites because it was reasonably priced and the display appeared to be easy to read. I tried to follow the instructions but did not get the results I was hoping for. Although I knew it would not operate like a normal thermometer, I still had my expectations. I stopped using it because I could not determine if it was giving me accurate information. Then again, we’re working in Arizona where summer temps range from hot to blistering to melting.

I could use it only once. It’s a product that I use once every two months. So when I tried to use it for a second time it didn’t work, at the beginning I thought it was the battery that I could leave on by mistake. Then when I changed the batteries it didn’t work.
