Keep in mind that these motors are not intended to be driven hard. They spin fast but when they are loaded down with heavy grinding, it will heat the motor quickly. Let it sit for a few minutes without over working it, and it should last a while. I've already burned out two grinders doing a lot of heavy duty grinding so I had to order two replacement motors. One way to extend the life of these machines is to alternate between several grinders if you need to do a lot of grinding. This will allow enough time for them to cool off. I have three grinders now since I've replaced the motors in two machines. desertcart was the only place which had them, and I waited for the price to change to get a good deal. I also bought the last two which were in stock. They arrived ahead of their scheduled date so shipping only took a few days.
