Tough 1 Royal King Leather Stable Halter

Ordered this halter in black leather. The stitching is even mostly everywhere. The brass fittings are very rough and I injured my finger on the edge of the crown buckle. I'm going to have to sand it down so I don't injure myself again. Also it's very difficult to take apart. I'm currently soaking it in leather condotioner. Hoping that makes it more bare able to use. All in all not a great but but not the worst. For $30 is rather buy a better quality for $20 more though. I won't be sad when this one breaks. Nice halter for the price. It’s not super thick so I haven’t had any problems with it being too stiff to buckle.

The halter is decent quality, but I didn’t realize it didn’t have a throat latch snap. You have to buckle it over the horses head every time. That was my mistake though and not the reason for the lower rating. The real issue is that the crown buckle is only on one side so the halter is always pulled lopsided if you leave it on the horse. This causes the halter to be pulled up toward the horse’s eye on one side and cause rub marks. I don’t recommend the product for that reason. If you just need something that looks nice that will rarely be left on the horse, it’s a decent option.

Bought this halter primarily for photos for my horses and think for the price, it was a good purchase. It's well made for the price and it looked great on my horses for their photo session. Will be using as needed for shows, etc.

It was good but at the buckles the leather was stiff but it works good,just got to work it

I only use this on my horse, a few times, and the leather underneath his chin on the nose bands ripped right in half, and the other parts of it are doing the same. Leather quality is cardboard.

perfect without the side clip, I was looking specifically for one without the side clip. Good leather and the brass pieces are heavy and sturdy. I put some conditioner on it and the leather is soft and supple. Will get some saddle soap on it tonight to protect the leather.
