Q: I am putting together a wooden walkway and need durable weather resistant spacers to go between the boards. I am using 1/4" nylon cording, so fit?

For all the practical purposes of your intended use, both the length and external diameter of these bushings are 1/2". A 1/4" drill has a little play inside the bore so I suppose your nylon cording should fit, but you should measure the exact diameter of the nylon cord before committing. As for the outdoor use the question would be UV resistance. In my opinion these bushings have thick walls (about 1/8" thick) and should work fine for your project. Good luck!

I bought them to use as spacers. They are smooth with no rough spots so you could use them as beads. Though I think they might be a little large for that purpose.
