Q: Can I use it as simplex?

Yes, you can remove the clip that is attached with the connector, then split the cable, or you can just use it without splitting, just use one of the cables with the same mark (1 or 2).

Q: Do these cables come with printed labels showing the length on the jacket?

Thank you for your interest in RambleCables and your questions: You don't have to worry about how to distinguish the length of the cable. We will stick a label with product information on the packaging bag, which indicates the length. The cable jacket will be printed with basic information such as fiber model and product properties, but the length is not printed on the jacket. Sincere RambleCables customer service

Q: is this same as a MADI cable for audio interfaces?

Not very familiar with MADI. Thought you meant MIDI at first so had to look it up. According to what I found. "AES10-2003 recommends using BNC connectors with coaxial cables and SC connectors with optic fibers. MADI over fiber can support a range of up to 2 km." Based on the AES standard SC connectors are recommended so this fiber cable should work as it has SC on one end. Not sure if you need LC on the other end or not. Looking at other brands of MADI cables most appear to be MMF (multimode-fiber) with the orange jacket meaning for the most part they are OM2 cables. Most fiber cables can be identified by the outer jacket. Teal cables tend to be OM3. OM2 cables are normally used for LED light source fiber applications and OM3 and up are mainly used for laser light applications. So based on my research this cable should work as long as the connectors are what you need. I use the OM3 cables with Dual LC connectors for my 10GB backbone fiber network on our servers and they work perfectly fine. What I like about Rambo Cables is that every cable you buy has a test report label on each bag. In personal testing the test report given meets what the cable tested at. Try it out if it don't work you can probably return it.

Q: Can the Cable be used for 25Gbps transmission?

Being an OS2 rated singlemode fiber it should support up to 100G for 10km using 1310nm and upto 40km using 1550nm. At 1G speed 40km at 1310nm and 80km using 1550nm. At 10G up to 10km using 1310nm and up to 40km using 1550nm. So depending on the length of the run 25G should be no issue as long as your transceivers can handle it. And at short distances OS2 can even handle 400G at up to 1-2km
