This was a fun project to practice soldering! The final product works as advertised and is nice and clean.

Was my alarm clock for quite awhile. Easy to assemble and worked well after awhile the connections degraded and ate batteries. For the price was good project.

Fairly simple alarm clock project for the price. Beginner friendly. It doesn't take long to assemble. Solid board quality. Components and finish build work as expected. The instructions on the back of the board on how to set the clock is a plus.

Nice practice kit for soldering. I gave it 4 stars because some of the parts are small and my conical tip was a little bit too larger to make small soldering connections but it still worked out well and the clock is working.

Watch some YouTube videos on this specific kit to get some great hints. Polarity tips are good in the instructions, but when you place components, bend the legs outward from the component to help hold it in place when you start to solder. Another tip I am working on is '2 seconds of heat max' (I am set at 650F with a Weller) and then solder. It seems to work. The board is forgiving for sloppy work, and I got the clock fired up first time.

Easy to build up board with just basic soldering skills. Some knowledge of electronic parts would be a help though. The crystal used is of a low quality as the time keeping is poor. Probably loses about 3-4 minutes in 24 hours. The loss is worse using the battery pack than with the power cord supplied. Fun project, but better clock kits are available.
