Do these wash off easily when using them as canning labels?

No, they do not. They look lovely on the jars and bottles but I finally started to cover the original labels with a second one because they are so difficult to remove. I would still buy them though.

Wondering how easy it is to write on. The description said it is a smooth finish, so would it be possible to write on them with a pencil?

I actually got these for name tags for a ladies event at church. They were perfect. Feminine & attractive. Everyone loved them, another event at church, and was asked if I had anymore, and they used them as well. They were perfect. They didn’t leave any residue on our clothes. We used pens, but pencils would work I presume.
