Timex Marlin 34mm Hand Wind 1960s Reissue

Fantastic watch. The only watch that has made me smile as soon as I laid eyes on it. Why? The small size that doesn't look small when you put it on your wrist; the classic numerals in 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12; the ease of reading the time at a glance; the sound when you wind the crown; the comfort where you forget you're wearing it and the cost which at this price for a manual movement is hard to find. Highly recommended and a compelling package. Oh did I mention it keeps phenomenal time? An absolute classic.

I always used to buy the TIMEX vintage watches from eBay. And due to their age (1950/1960) I undoubtedly came across a lot of issues along with wear and tear you’d expect that will come with a watch of that age . This watch answered all my problems. Stylish. Amazing design. This remake is something I’ve desired for such a long time!!! I’m glad timex went ahead with this ! I am One happy customer !

I don't wear a watch very often so invariably when I need one the battery has died. I was looking for an old fashioned wind up watch. The female selection was poor. This one is for men; I thought the strap would be too loose because I have small wrists, but it isnt; it fits perfectly. It does not come with instructions; it is necessary to go to the Timex website, and even then the info isn't too clear; it would be helpful to have guidance about the number of winds to use. The winding mechanism doesn't appear to stop to signify that it is fully wound, or maybe I have never wound it far enough. I suppose it was quite expensive but I have seen it at a higher price on another site. The delivery was quick. The packaging is stylish; it would make a great gift. I love it so far.

Good looking manual wind watch which keeps excellent time. Quite small which fits my wrist nicely.

As of this writing, I've had this watch for about 5 months and I'm extraordinarily happy with it. I'd been keeping an eye out at estate sales for a few years looking for a vintage Marlin with no luck. Santa finally agreed to get me this re-issue last Christmas. The packaging was tasteful, maybe a bit over the top for a $200 watch, but I appreciated the care that went into it; Timex is obviously proud of this product. Since then, it's kept very good time: I've really only adjusted it twice. Might get off by about a minute a month, but I haven't adjusted it in a couple of months now. The dial is a good size for small wrists and although it can be difficult to read in low light it's easy to read generally and provides an understated simplicity with its gleaming face and simple numbering. I think it looks elegant without drawing attention to itself. The leather strap has held up well; I put it on and take it off a couple of times every day and it's barely worn at all. Comfortable as well. If you're the sort that forgets to wind a watch, this one isn't for you. It takes a bit of a habitual nature to wind it every day, but if you're the type to buy a throwback wind-up watch you're probably the type that would wind it every morning before putting it on and appreciate the simple routine of it. Excellent job, Timex. You did well with this one.

I wish I had taken a picture of my husband's face when he opened this gift. It was just what he was wanted. Beautifully made.
