Drill Hog 13 Pc NIOBIUM Left Hand Drill Bit Set Index Drill Bits

I have used nearly all of them and one already snapped on me. I can get it replaced but they require you to mail back the broken one. Really a dumb policy to require me to pay postage and waste USPS resources to mail garbage back to them. What are they doing, smelting down the broken bits and making a new one? This is a return policy that made sense in the 1923, not 2023. Why can't I just provide the serial number of my set and a picture of the broken bit as proof for replacement?

Nice box, like an ammo can. Broke a small bit, they replaced it quickly. No problems. Shipped way more quickly than amazon said it would. Very nice, sharp bits. Cut into a well hard zinc automotive bolt and extracted it.

I can't really say about the durability or longevity since I only use these for those times when I really need them. But let me just say that these LEFT HAND drill bits are GREAT for removing broken (right hand thread) screws and stripped out set screws! About 90% of the time you won't need to use an Easy Out or other screw extractor if you use a LH drill bit. Usually the drill bit will dig in and will remove the screw for you.

I have not needed to use this product yet so I can not speak from experience. From the looks of these bits I think I made a very good choice.

Don't waste these on regular jobs they are for getting out broken screws. Best damn bits I've ever used and these are left handed. Have used 3 sizes at least 10 times and still sharp. Just remember to go slow and let the drill do the work. Use plenty of cutting oil and keep perpendicular to the broken bolt. Says they are guaranteed for life. Can't say the same for anyone who borrows these from me.

Absolutely junk American made trash. They should be ashamed!These are the 2 smallest bits in the set.As a machinist by trade I know what good bits look like and know how to hand sharpen just about any edge.Remember when you view these pictures that these are LEFT HAND bits. They aren't even sharpened correctly.EDIT... they refunded my money and sent out a new set of bits. HOWEVER, the new smallest bits are also sharpened the wrong direction (It seems like they forgot to change the setting to a left hand bit when sharping)Being a machinist, I can sharpen these correctly; but I shouldn't have to and many folks don't have the tools and or the ability to fix this mistake.
