Osprey Fairview 55L Women's Travel Backpack, Misty Grey, WS/M

I purchased this backpack before a spring break trip to Colombia. I knew I would be taking moto taxis and other forms of transport ill-suited to a rolling suitcase, so I did some research and found this. I was really unsure about the sizing at first, but I went with the small/medium size of the 55 liter. I am 5'5", 120 lb, slender frame and it is perfect. I take it when I travel around the US now and I recently just got back from Cuba with it. I love the day pack as I usually use that as my under-the-seat-stowaway bag and then put the larger pack in the overhead bin. Even though the 55L does not have the checkmark by the "carry on compatible" box on the Osprey website I have never been told to check this bag (I did check it once because I brought back adult beverages and the bottles were in perfect condition and the exterior showed no signs of abuse). I got packing cubes for it and it is just right for packing light but prepared for adventure. Usually I can fit 2 pairs of shoes, flip flops, swim suit, small towel, shorts, a dress, a few tops, jeans, toiletries, and some miscellaneous items like a rain jacket. IT IS THE PERFECT TRAVEL BACKPACK! It was well worth the $170 I spent on it.

The best!!! this is the most comfortable and versatile backpack EVER!, Works perfectly for backpacking in europe, for camping trip, or traveling anywhere, super comfortable, very spacious yet apropiate to take as carrry on an airplane and if airline demands you to send it to cargo, you can use the little detachable backpack as carry on or purse for stuff you need to take with you at all times in the flight. Also this backpack makes packing and unpacking super easy thanks to the Zipper on the large panel that provides convenient access to the main compartment and its lockable to keep your equipment safe, Totally recomend this backpack.

This has been with me all over Europe. It is plenty big for a couple weeks of clothes if you pack wisely. It's also small enough to take on small trips. Its a truly versatile bag. Plus, the day-pack can be zippered to the bag for easy carrying around, but removed for use when you get to your destination. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

This backpack is a steal with the attachable day pack. I bought this for my trip to Europe and will let you all know how it holds up. After a week in Italy: This backpack is a must buy! It is sturdy, comfortable, and roomier than it appears. I flew with United and it fit perfectly in the upper compartment. I packed one pair of shorts, three pairs of pants, a dress, two pairs of shoes, my toiletry bag, underwear, and socks and I still had about a little under half of the bag I could have filled up. The only time it became heavy or hard on my back was when I attached the day pack on the front of my body. Other then that little inconvenience this is a perfect bag for backpackers.

i purchased this bag for my 17-day backpacking trip to Europe and it did not disappoint!! i used packing cubes and was able to fit 2 pairs of boots (1 pair on the outside straps), 8 shirts, 4 pairs of pants, 4 reasonable sized jackets/sweaters, toiletries, socks/underwear, and multiple beanies/leg warmers in with no problem. i saw a few reviews that said the day pack would not zip on if the bag was stuffed too full, and this is true, but it was not an issue as there are secure clips that will hold it on- see pictures attached. i was able to stuff both the regular and the day pack full of stuff and it held together perfectly!! i am 5’4 120ibs and got the small/medium, and it fit me just right. couldn’t recommend this bag more for women adventurers like me!!

this is a class A backpack. I love that it includes a removeable day pack! It is light weight and I can pack everything for a 18 day Balkan Penninsula vacation. The problem I have is the Hip Belt is too small. I don't know is it runs small or if this particular backpack had xsmall straps attached instead of sm/med straps. I called the company to ask if the could provide an extender and the happily said Yes, but i will take 8-10 weeks to ship! WT&! my trip takes place sooner that the ship date, so I retuned it.

Utilisé pour un voyage d'une semaine en Sicile, passé sans souci les contrôles taille (si pas trop rempli), quelques kilomètres de marche avec une charge d'environ 9 kgs, la solidité et le confort sont au RDV. très fonctionnel aussi, les promenades de la journée avec le petit sac lui aussi très confortable. Je le trouve esthétiquement bien réussi, joli tissus kaki pas salissant et les cordons bleu turquoise (le côté féminin). Bluffée moi qui ne connaissais pas la marque. A organiser avec les pack cubes

A very good purchase. The bag is durable, with many spaces and the small detachable bag is particularly convenient. I use it as a backpack on day trips or on walks when I'm abroad or on long trips. I should also mention that I have not had any problems with the airlines.

Se trata de una mochila completísima para viajar como equipaje de mano. Su capacidad quizás exceda el limite por ciertas compañías de vuelo, pero tiene la ventaja de poder quitar la mochila pequeña reducir su tamaño. Sus correas ofrecen una comodidad superior a la hora de ajustar la mochila y cargar con ella durante los viajes. Ofrece gran versatilidad al poder guardar las correas y poder cargar con ella mediante sus asas. La mochila pequeña que se encuentra anclada mediante cremalleras en la parte externa, posee un acolchado en su interior que la hace idónea para el transporte de los objetos tecnológicos que nos acompañan durante los viajes. Es la mochila de viaje definitiva.

Todavía no puedo opinar sobre su uso porque la he comprado para un viaje que haré de un mes en unos días. Estuve varios días buscando mochilas y la Farview 55 de Osprey es la que más me convenció por su versatilidad y tamaño. En amazon es donde he encontrado un mejor precio para la mochila, ya que al ser el modelo de chica me ha costado encontrarla. Incluso en la tienda oficial de Osprey no hacían envíos a Baleares y era más cara, así que sobre el vendedor puedo dar 5 estrellas y además llegó antes de lo previsto y en perfectas condiciones. El color no es el esperado, en la web se ve negra o gris muy oscuro con detalles en color turquesa, pero la realidad es que es un gris verdoso (casi como el verde camuflaje), aunque a mí casi que me gusta más así. Leí varias opiniones antes de comprarla porque me preocupaba que no la admitiesen como equipaje de mano, y si bien soy consciente desde el principio que las medidas de la mochila no son las aceptadas como equipaje de mano, tengo fe en no tener problemas en embarcarla aunque es un poco más grande (alta) de lo que pensaba, pero también es más estrecha que una maleta de cabina. ACTUALIZO COMENTARIO: tras un mes de uso intensivo, estoy muy contenta con mi mochila, ha aguantado perfectamente el trote que le he dado de aviones, trenes, barcos, etc, y la capacidad me ha bastado para llevar ropa para un mes (en clima caluroso). También ha sido muy útil llevar la mochila pequeña ya que la he utilizado como mochila de diario para paseos y excursiones. Para mí ha sido muy útil comprar organizadores para meter la ropa y que no se me desparramara al abrir la mochila, ya que ésta se puede abrir totalmente. También he llevado una funda para la lluvia que la podía meter en el compartimento que hay para guardar la solapa que cubre las asas. Respecto a utilizarla como equipaje de cabina, tengo que decir que no he tenido ningún problema en llevarla como equipaje de mano, la he llevado con Air Europa, Etihad, Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, Vietjet, Vietnam Airlines. El único problema lo he tenido con la compañía Garuda Indonesia, pero no por tamaño, sino por peso, ya que sobrepasaba el límite de peso (también ha sido en la única compañía que me la han pesado) y se trataban de aviones tipo interislas que son pequeños y los compartimentos de equipaje son estrechos, así que la tuve que facturar. Por tanto,os recomiendo no llevarla al máximo de su capacidad para evitar problemas.
