Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 4 Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Black (New Model, 100

I previously had a Studio 3 speaker, heard it playing in the Sprint store and was blown away, I had never heard a small bluetooth speaker so clear and full with a nice bit of bass to back it up. I had that speaker for about 6 years, had it playing at work all day long on top of my tool box in a shop environment, toted it home to use wherever I was working around the house. I estimated by the amount of hours it played at work every day during a normal work week, not counting all the time it played here at home, well over 10,000 hours of play time, before one of the woofers finally failed. The battery life was never impressive but it pretty much always stayed plugged in where I was using it, as it was directly stated it's more of a static speaker, it was never touted as a long play battery power bluetooth speaker. I know of almost a dozen people who have bought one after hearing mine at work and were blown away with the sound quality, and they all love theirs as well. So, naturally, when mine finally wore out, I replaced it with an Onyx 4. About the only thing different between the two, is the power up sound, and the passive radiator button color on the back. Otherwise they look identical. And my Onyx 4 sounds exactly like my Onyx 3. The added bonus is that with this new speaker, the battery life is good. There have been a few days I've set it on top of my box at 7AM and forgot to plug it in, and it was still playing when I went to put it back in my cabinet at the end of the day. For the price, this thing is amazing. I'm sure there are louder, harder hitting bass speakers out there, but not in this price range.

What a good speaker! For the price $145 dollars, it is a great deal. I use to buy Bose speakers but I decided to give Harman a chance. I have tried other HK speakers and amplifiers and I know this is a good company with good quality products. My personal opinion, this is a great deal and your best option. Before buy the HK, I got a Amazon Echo plus and the sound quality was really disappointing. So, I had two options: bose revolve or HK Onyx 4. I considered JBL Pulse, MegaBoom, and others but comparing price and functionality I found that HK is the best option. Some people complaint because it is too big and maybe for them it is not portable, but Im not looking for a speaker to go out, I was looking for the best sound at the best price. Additionally, I got portability. This new model has a 8 hour battery, the size is not too big but it is not small like a sonos or other speakers. I found that this model has a multi speaker option, so you can connect up to 4 speakers at the same time. In conclusion, this is a very very good bluetooth speaker, with a good battery (8 hours, enough for a party), quick connect option and multi speaker option. Very complete device!

This thing is fantastic and the price is ridiculously reasonable. I’m a Bose fanatic. I have 4 pairs of high end Bose headphones, two portable Bose speakers, Bose home theatre system, and Bose stereo in my car. I appreciate crisp, clear audio with sufficient bass that does not distort with elevated volume. I started using Echo devices as a network for whole-home audio - which works great by the way, as long as your willing to put an echo device in every room right next to the larger speaker since they do have to be plugged in using an aux cable in order to sync the playback - but the Bose portable speaker we were using in our bedroom was never quite in sync with all the other speakers. There was a slight delay from it which I attribute to a hardware issue with the speaker. Bought this to replace it on a whim since it was so cheap (especially compared with the $400 Bose speaker it would be potentially be taking the place of). So glad I gave it a chance. It is not quite as crisp as the Bose speakers, but it has good depth with plenty of midrange and more than enough bass to fill a bedroom with as much sound as you can take with zero distortion. ALSO - there is no lag from aux and the Bluetooth connection is seemless.

Everything about this speaker is just about perfect. It’s large and powerful enough to fill a decent-sized room with sound, yet small enough to bring in a backpack, the highs, lows, and midranges are all crystal clear, and the bass is honestly some of the clearest and most clean I’ve heard on a speaker. My only issue is its battery life is a little lacking, but I’ve been able to get a good 7 hours out of it wirelessly which is more than I really need, and is actually more than Harman/Kardon advertises I’m pretty sure so no real complaints there, plus you can just plug it in and leave it if you were you were going use it as a permanent speaker for your TV or something like that. I might even buy 3 more just to have around the house. The Bluetooth is great, it came a day early so no issues with the shipment whatsoever you can use Google Assistant, and Siri, and I’m fairly certain Bixby and Alexa work as well on it. Overall I’d definitely recommend it. 👍🏽

This bluetooth speaker is absolutely incredibly! The sound is rich and smooth, the base is heavy and balanced, the engineering of this product is stunning. The price is great for something of this calibur. The only thing is it states this is a portable bluetooth speaker. There are other speakers in its class which are lighter and easier to carry around. This is a little on the heavier and larger side to be considered "portable" but regardless it is great. I don't think this is waterproof or water resistant, but the reason we buy the speaker for its sound quality is a 10/10. Literally blows away other bluetooth speakers in its class, there is no comparison. This will fill up a room, full up a house, fill up your backyard for entertainment. I mean there really isn't anything else to say. The battery life states is 6-8 hours. Whatever battery life might not last the longest, other bluetooth speakers last greater than 10 hours. Regardless for its sound crispness and quality this is on a top level and for that reason no other bluetooth speaker, in my opinion, even really compares to this Harmon/Kardon Onyx Studio 4.

Over the years, I have had multiple Bluetooth (and non-Bluetooth) portable speakers foisted on me for various reasons, so while I'm not exactly an audiophile, I have a fairly decent range of experience with these things for the average person. This is definitely one of the better ones ESPECIALLY at this price point. If you're willing to drop whatever cash you need to to have the best sound possible, you can certainly get better. But for the cost of a sit-down restaurant meal for one person? Not likely. Sound quality is GOOD but not GREAT. Sound carries really well. Sitting in my living room, I can hear it clearly even at low volume from the bedroom. In my office at work, I can hear it from down the hall. The specs say it can stay connected to its Bluetooth source for 33 feet, but I had it connected at nearly 50, and it was still working (although it started to get spotty before I realized my phone was in my pocket). When I used it at a tabletop game store, it drowned out everybody else's speakers even at low volume. Battery life seems to be about 4 hours at low volume before it starts complaining. It charges fairly quickly. It FEELS very cheap when you hold it, so I'm not sure how much of a beating it can take. Not that it's expensive enough that you have to buy it a carrying case (the case would likely cost more than the item), but you should probably be gentle with it. I have not tested its supposed waterproof capabilities (and don't intend to, because why on earth would I?). Assuming it doesn't break in the near future, I'd be willing to buy this again, and would be comfortable recommending it to others as a good casual speaker.

When I first read all of the positive reviews, I found them a little hard to believe regarding how good this speaker sounded vs. how much the speaker cost. I'm a big fan of the Bose sound, but I thought what the heck - the price is great so I'll give the speaker a try, and I'm glad I did. I've had this speaker since February and I absolutely love the sound quality. At first, compared to Bose, I thought it sounded very...open and non-room-filling, like the sound fell flat a foot from the speaker when testing in my open-concept living room/dining room (a big joined room). When I moved the speaker into a smaller room - my office - I thought it sounded much more...complete and full. Over time, I've gotten used to the "open" sound of this guy vs. my Bose SoundTouch, and overall the sound great IMO - crystal clear, no distortion at higher volumes, solid bass and clear highs and mids. For the price, it's darn impressive! I replaced my Bose SoundTouch 10 with this speaker in my bedroom. My only quibble is the power cord - the AC cord keeps falling out of the convertor block. I finally tossed some duct tape on it. Definitely recommend this speaker, huge sound quality bang for your buck!

A wonderful speaker, perfect choise for those who want to combine powerful home speaker with high-quality sound (without needing to buy a whole surround system, that I can only install and use in one room) with something easy to move around. You won't find anything near this good for this price! I don't need to move my laptop around rooms anymore, but I take the speaker with me to whichever room at home I go. Good bass (very important to me), but still mild overall sound, meaning your neighbours won't be knocking on your door/walls for keeping them awake at night (oh, and I do play quite often at 1am...). The only downside I've observed is in the bluetooth connectivity - sometimes it plays from a long distance, other times the signal gets distorted behind two walls. So it's a little unpredictable... It's cool you can link multiple devices to it, so you don't have to pair-unpair, for example when you've gathered friends and you change ppl playing the music. Works well. Overall, recommend, great choise!

Ho istallato due nella camera e uno nel bagno e ci metterò un terzo nella seconda camera. Il pairing col'iphone funziona perfettamente. Bisogna collegare solo uno al telefono, l-altro si collega tramite un tasto sul speaker al altro speaker. Facile. Il suono é davvero impressionante, un pò bass heavy. Comunque ottimo acquisto.

Quando você recebe o produto já fica impressionado com o design. Depois você liga e se apaixona. Moro em um apartamento de 60m2, mantenho-o na sala e escuto música perfeitamente em todos os cômodos. Ótima qualidade de som, graves e agudos. Bateria dura bastante, o que me ajuda a movimentá-lo quando quero sem me preocupar em levar o cabo ou estar perto de alguma tomada. Comparado com outros aparelhos é caro, mas digo que se você tem o dinheiro para comprar, vale à pena. Já tenho há alguns meses, qualidade de som e bateria permanecem os mesmos.
