I got these towels and the first thing I did was wash them. After the first wash they weren’t terribly absorbent (I made the cardinal sin, I washed with downy). After smearing water around on my counter unsuccessfully absorbing it I was frustrated took the whole folded stack and threw them back in the washer, washed on my hottest cycle and dried (no downy, no dryer sheets).Now they are absorbent and just perfect! Well, not perfectly perfect (none of them are cut quite square) but that doesn’t matter to me because these aren’t show pieces they are work horses.As for the person with the review with all their towels wrinkled!?!? I don’t know what they did to have that happen, mine came out of the dryer perfectly both times. Odd.They feel very similar to my old towels and I have no doubt they’re going to hold up just fine.The first pics are pre-wash, the last pic is after second wash.

Would have given 5 stars if they'd been yellow but they aren't. I'd describe them as orange.

They are exactly as advertised. Love the cotton, just wish they came in a larger size.

These towels do shrink when washed even in cold water and they are wrinkled coming out of dryer. But I don't use them for display towels... Just drying dishes, so I'm ok with them. I don't look pretty either when I work and these towels don't judge me...lol
