This is a rubber wheel with a 1/4" shank adapter. As others have said, it is similar to an eraser in composition. It works by rubbing the unwanted material off, so direct the spin of the wheel such that it peels the material (such as pin striping) off, if relevant. As for my experience with its durability, I removed striping from one car and have barely scratched the surface of the wheel. I would imagine that removing the glue from a large area would use a bit more. As for its safety concerning finishes, it should be fine for hard ones (probably not good for thinly sprayed paint). But, since it is soft, the only real contributor to damage would probably be from frictional heat. I didn't experience anything more than some mild warmth but I believe that a bit more could be generated by continual rubbing in one spot for a lengthy period which would likely cause some finish damage or at least discoloration.It works well and is very easy on the surface but make sure to use your head when using it.

Used it to peel 8 old boat registration decals off my pontoon. Worked but had to get the surface really hot to do so. Probably enough wheel left to tackle one more project at best. Still happy with the outcome. Would definitely buy again.

This decal removal disk worked absolutely fantastic. It removed Police vehicle side decal that was the length of the car on one side only. But the decal was 9 years old and was in a hot Florida city along the beach. So I think the heat and the sun baking the decal for 9 years made the decals harder than usual to get off. I will repeat, this one disk only removed the decal off of one side of the car. I am ordering two more disk to finish the other side. I will probably only need one, but in case I need an additional one there is a 3 day delivery for me where I live. We only used the disk on the decal, no water, no decal remover fluids like goo gone. My drill is a Milwaukee 1200rpm drill, and used a lot of elbow grease, and muscle. The disk came with no instructions. But did have a drill arbor like attachment. It worked Great. It does make quite a mess, so clean up is messy. Just decal pieces dnd dust. Nothing horrible but pretty messy.

Saved me a lot of work in removing old adhesive....

OMG! Used this wheel starting today on a big job...removing the woodgrain vinyl decals from an old Jeep Grand Wagoneer.There is a huge amount of vinyl, but this wheel is up to the task. It quickly chewed through the vinyl, but left the underlying paint intact. The added width of the wheel and unique staggered teeth make it perfect for this work. Was able to finesse the edge around the tailgate latch, and even though I hit the latch, this wheel material did not damage the chrome at all.This is not a clean process, so do it outside. Also wear head, eye, and ear protection, and a dust mask. Coveralls too if you have 'em. I was covered nearly head to toe with rubber eraser-like shavings after doing just 2 panels, but it's so worth the mess!Used a more thin wheel from a different supplier first, and it did a good job too. The additional width makes this wheel better and faster. Gonna order another one. It's going to take 3 or 4 wheels to do this Grand Wagoneer, since they grind down during the process. Totally worth it!

I ordered this wheel after watching a video that used it to remove adhesive and caulk from a fiberglass RV panel.The trick to this is to angle the wheel when using it, don't try to use the flat edge or it won't work well. Once we figured that out, we were set.This removes adhesives and caulks (including the dreaded butyl tape) with relative ease, leaving a nearly clean surface that just needs wiped off with alcohol to remove any thin residue.Just be ready. This sucker throws whatever it's pulling off all over you, and anything near you... but it's still much easier than spending hours and lots of elbow grease with a putty knife/scraper.

This doesn’t work well for smith kore than small sticker removal.

I should have taken pix. Used to remove 5 year old after market rocker stipes on my 06 Mustang. Anyway 1st tried a hairdryer no help. Spent the money for a heat gun took over an hour to get the rear qtr panel done maybe 8-9 inches of material. Decided to add in the plastic razor blade scraper. Waste of time and money even with heat gun. Found this disc and said for 17 bucks let's try it. Should have found this first. Ripped right through the remaining decals. Once you figure the right amount of pressure to apply job was cake. Removed almost all of the adhesive as well. Sprayed a small amount of turtle wax label remover and wiped it off with a micro fiber cloth. No harm to finish at all. I just reapplied wax as Im guessing the label remover stripped off the wax and was done. LEARN FROM MY TRIALS AND BUY IT... Lol good luck it's a must.

So I purchased this to remove the striping from the side of my boat. I did a ton of research online to find the best product. After extensive research I originally purchased the 3M toffee wheel. I was warned that I may need to purchase another as they wear out. I started with the 3M product and it was ok, but nothing amazing.So I knew I needed to get a second one, but the 3M product was 4 weeks delivery. This product was a close second place in the ratings, so I figured why not. Also... it was a 3rd of the price!!!!I have to say, THIS product is far better than the more expensive 3M product. I will for sure use these again without any hesitation.Fantastic product.
