The Design is well thought out. The knife that comes with it has 2 different edges 1) slightly serrated on one edge. 2) the other edge works specifically for cold butter. This allows you to leave the butter out or in the fridge. The sloped up edge on each end of the butter dish keeps the butter from going into crevices of the butter dish. I really like the built in magnet that holds the knife to the lid! No butter knife falling off when you pass the butter (or move it on the counter, etc. )and getting butter where you don't want it. I am very happy with this purchase!

Great butter dish- it is stable and break-free, and it won't slip on the counter. The knife that is included is very handy. The only major issue I had is that it will not fit inside the butter keeper inside my refrigerator door.

The lighter color will allow me to use on the table outdoors. A very nice knife . All easy to clean. A nice addition for my outdoor entertaining !
