Great biography project book
Bought for my class’ biography project. Students were able to easily find the information they needed and the timelines in the back are a great feature.

LOVED IT!
love these books, a little bit of history, just enough to know how it started, and how it happened.

"Off the court, they were family. On the court, they were rivals."
This book does a great job of focusing on the time, dedication, and work it takez, from childhood, to become a Tennis Champion. It notes the challenges the entire family faces, the hours that are put in... the only thing it misses is the lack of family vacations as kids, because the coaches fear more than a day away from the court means something important, skill-wise, will be lost. Additionally, this book follows Venus and Serena Williams careers off the court, as well as on, and notes there came a point when they started earning more money away from the game than by playing it. For anyone who wants their kids to learn what hard work, determination, dedication, and working with others can result in, this is worth reading... Tennis doesn't have to be the dream those lessons are applied to.
