Originally was shopping for monitors for my synthesizer, and stumbled across reviews for these speakers. Saw a sound demo of Edifier speakers vs JBL monitors and they went toe to toe, but having the Bluetooth capability so that I can listen to my music on command via Alexa (Amazon Unlimited) was the tipping point. These speakers are excellently packaged and well protected during delivery. The package was 45 lbs. cuz these speakers are built like a tank! The real solid wood sides are rather attractive and the speaker covers are also elegant and sleek, but are sheer allowing the looks of the drivers and tweeters to be appreciated. They don't seem to diffuse the sound at all IMO. Now, for the record, I'm new to the speaker game, but I've listened to some outstanding audiophile approved equipment, so I appreciate hearing music as it was meant to be heard, and these speakers opened up old familiar tunes and brought out detail and nuance. I couldn't stop grinning for an hour when I plugged it in, connected the two speakers with the surprisingly robust cable, and connected my echo dot via Bluetooth. My 21 year old daughter said it simply and best when she remarked "These speakers are making me really excited about music!" I've only had them a few days and haven't even finished a burn in, but they have met and exceeded expectations thus far. I moved them into an adjacent bedroom with the door shut to paint and enjoy music, and thanks to Bluetooth aptx they suffer absolutely no connection issues. Still yet to hook them up to my Korg synthesizer, but I am expecting that to sound amazing as well. The 120W provide plenty of room filling sound and would excel as home theater speakers as well with excellent bass response. I sense no distortion of sound even at max volume, which is pretty darn loud. Truthfully, I wanted the Edifier S2000Pro, but Edifier has taken them off the market for some reason, so I went with these after seeing so many glowing reviews. I love them and wish I could take them with me everywhere I go. My next purchase will be some proper speaker stands, so they can be elevated to an optimal listening position. An excellent investment for lovers of music! UPDATE: Had these for about 5 weeks now and I got some Edifier speaker stands which put them at the perfect height for my man cave. Highly recommend them. Also found that wire connecting my Amazon echo dot to the speakers gives even more powerful sound than bluetooth. Also, the synthesizer sounds awesome through them! I attached a video of my daughter just fiddling around with my Korg running thru the speakers, but it's just a phone video that doesn't do it justice. February 2019 UPDATE: These speakers still perform flawlessly. I use them to play music, basically all my instruments (synth, guitar, vocals, drum machine), and bluetooth my phone thru them on occasion. Its so easy to transition between them all with the remote. I have been so happy with them I bought some smaller Edifiers for my office at work. December 2019 Update: These speakers are still kickin butt, with frequent, nearly daily use. And they are on and powered pretty much 100% of the time. Last weekend, I used them outside for a Christmas movie display outside in the front yard. We had a projector displaying onto a movie screen and watched Elf, Christmas Vacation & Die Hard, and the Edifiers took care of the sound. There was a small amount of frost on them by the time we finished but they are still working flawlessly. These speakers may be the best music entertainment purchase I have ever made.

Briefly, looking for wireless speakers for my wife in a new house. There seems to be a lot of junk out there, small single speakers and the like, maybe not really junk. Also, I was really learning about bluetooth speakers, never having purchased them before. I stumbled upon these, this was roughly the price range I was looking for, and the reviews here and elsewhere were generally positive We set them up and we were all blown away by (a) how good they sound for bookshelf speakers that are not that large (though heavy, especially the one with the amp in it, the right one); the bass is good, better than I expected across a range of music, and that's leaving the bass control in the neutral position, the mids and highs are excellent, the volue is fine for an open-ended living room that abuts the kitchen; and (b) the ease of connecting via bluetooth across different sources (multiple cell phones, my laptop, my wife's tablet); amd (c) combining (a) and (b), the sound coming through these bluetooth speakers was remarkable, my first expereince, whatever compression exists with bluetooth was not that noticeable and I have pretty good ears (if a bit old) for audio sound. I had never heard of edifier before, but will attend to them in the future. My brother-in-law (a cabinet designer and builder in the past who is still quite skills with wood) claimed that the wood is not really wood, but you could fool me. The level of detail on these is quite good. They do not look cheap, but rather quite the opposite, very well built with attention to detail. Personally, I thought they looked kind of ugly in the pictures I've seen and was pleasant surprised by how nice they look in reality. The price seems commensurate with the qulity. These were $50 US cheaper here at Amazon compared to some other on-line retailers where I usually shop for this sort of stuff. Anyway, my wife loves these, just loves them, which for me adds to their value as they were a Christmas present to her. I really was not sure if these were going to work out, and they did so perfectly.

I got these speakers at a really good price. Very happy with their quality and performance. Recommended.

Si los subes a nivel de oído, el sonido se vuelve mas abierto y definido y obvio estéreo, no digo que a nivel piso suenen mal, para nada, pero mejor definición en soporte para monitor. 2-Frecuencias magníficamente equilibradas, con eso no digo que sean planos, digo que ninguna se antepone a otra lo cual da una definición muy buena. 3, Quite la malla protectora de los altavoces y aquí hay mucho cambio, la definición se vuelve mucho mas amplia, sin embargo al tener tweeter de titanio ahí es donde recae, algo no tan agradable porque si escuchas tidal a max resolución en bandas sonoras, jazz,rock instrumental con o sin voces muy bien, pero si pasas a lo comercial ahí esta el detalle, agudos empiezan a sonar metálicos, porque música mas comercial no esta hecha para ese tipo de tweeter, y pierde neutralidad incluso en flat. 4-Al tener la malla protectora tendrás que subir +1db en agudos, que en este caso son medio agudos porque jala parejo, si no, las cuerdas y medios pierden cierto cuerpo, sin malla no hay necesidad, pero se vuelve mas fatigante. 5.En general son grandes monitores por sonido y prestaciones pero en la vida vuelvo a comprar monitores con tweeter de titanio.

On initial impression, connected to my sony tv through bluetooth and optical , sounded really good for movies and for music, spotify able to deliver good quality audio

The speakers are heavy, nicely built and asthetically they are a delight for the interiors. The speakers require a lot of burn in period to properly dissipate the vibrations. Sound Quality: i have been listening to Pink Flyod, Jimi Hendrix, Chet Baker, Chopin, B B king, Strings, Abida Parveen, Lamb of God, Manna Dey, Ravi Shankar and i will conclude that this speakers actually allow me to indulge and immerse myself into total isolation of musical ecstacy . Frequency Response: The high,mid and low are just perfect. The frequency dispersion is crisp and the clarity of frequencies is so appropriate. The speakers don't distort at full volume. They are able to deliver the full spectrum of frequency at full volumes without overpowering any frequency. Once the ears get adapted to this sound signature, you won't like any other speakers, these are so distinct. No need for a subwoofer as you can listen to and feel a double bass drum being played in front of you . Soothing for ears and very comfortable at high volumes. A must buy for hardcore music lovers.

I bough these active speaker for my lounge as my hifi lives in a separate room now. I was expecting them to look good and sound ok for casual listen but no more. They look as good in real life as they do in the photos. The sound and the hifi qualities of these speakers is way above what I expected. The source is my phone and apple music, so not the highest quality streaming service or DAC u can have. I would say that these active speakers sound at least as good as budget separate system (think NAD, ROTEL,etc) from the 90's. For £300 i don't think you can ask any more. The highest complement i can pay these speaker is that they've got me listening to more music.
