Great for backpacks/coats
Love the functionality and appearance of this entryway shelf. We did add a couple extra screws to enforce the wall board. It chips easily but still pleased with the shelf. I also have the matching bench with shoe organizer and they match perfectly.

An attractive, practical solution for a fair price
I purchased this shelf for my mudroom to go along with the 3-cube bench that matches it. Overall, I am happy with this purchase. It was a compromise between my budget and my desire to purchase a piece of functional furniture that fit into a set space to solve a storage problem. It went together in about an hour. It would have taken less time, but the instructions telling you to install the two little 'gable' dividers in the middle to create the cubes did not mention there were two drill-holes in the back that needed to line up with a back support that was added afterwards. After I screwed the entire thing together, I realized my error and had to take it apart again. It is a problem that can be easily rectified by the manufacture by depicting and also stating clearer directions about the gables having a 'right' and 'wrong' end. Other than that, this shelf went together like a dream. For those weighing cost, this shelf is pressboard, not real wood (as was truthfully advertised). I knew what I was getting when I bought it and am happy with what I purchased, but a novice buyer should be aware that pressboard, once you damage it, is difficult to repair. Unlike real wood, if it gets damaged, you can't simply cobble it back together with wood glue and a couple of screws and then repaint it. Since this product hangs on the wall, it is unlikely to see the kind of abuse that its matching bench will suffer and will likely last much longer. However, I do foresee one potential area for 'failure.' The piece of wood that holds the four coat-hooks is screwed in at either end, but not in the middle. Nor is there a place to attractively drill a hole through into the wall without the screws showing. I ended up drilling one anyways because, being pressboard, after a while, it is going to sag. If I had to make one recommendation to the manufacturer, it would be to include one of those little steel brackets in the middle of the back (where it's not visible) to attach the bottom-back to the bottom-shelf in the middle. A top-down screw won't do much. It's pressboard. After a while, the screw will just tear out.The other warning ... heaving this shelf up onto the wall-bracket is a two-man job!The verdict ... I am very happy with my purchase and, unless you pull it off the wall and look at the back of it, you would never know it was pressboard. It is a handsome unit and an excellent value for the money. I would consider using this manufacturer again. I bought the matching bench and am happy with that, as well.

Easy to build, easy to mount, looks great!
Bought for our entryway as we dont have a closet. Assembly time was less than 15 minutes with very simple tools. Mounting to the wall was nice - they give you a grooved board that you screw into your studs, then "drop" the shelf onto - it's VERY solid. The only gripe i have is the plugs to cover the screw holes - they are kind of small and dont really snap in very well. Next time I'm at the hardware store, I will probably pick up some small round stickers to cover the holes with.Overall we love it, it holds four winter coats with ease and the three cubby holes are great for my stuff (gloves, hat, keys, wallet, etc), the significant other's stuff, and our dog's stuff. We also bought the matching shoe rack and they complement each other nicely.

Great item for entry way organization
I was a little reluctant to buy this becuase I knew it would be made of paticle board materials. However, I was nicely suprised when it arrived (with great packaging) undamaged and with good quality. It was very easy to assemble, and has a nice design how it attaches to the wall. It can also be easily removed without unbolting if you ever need to repaint the walls.I used four silver bolts to attach the cross member to the wall and we put baskets in the cubbies so you dont see them. Even if you did, the bolts match the color of the hooks.Heavy back packs and coats hang perfectly with no concerns of the unit falling down.It is a very nice and simple product that is easy to build and hang on the wall.

I really love the look of this shelf
I really love the look of this shelf. It is really nice and heavy duty. However, I did have a couple issues with it. For one, none of the pieces were labeled. I know this isn't a huge issue as I could figure out myself which piece is which but could confuse others. My other complaint is whoever packaged it did a horrible job. The styrofoam that was around the packaging had melted to my shelf and it took me forever to scrape it off and even then it didn't all come off. Fortunately it was only on a couple of the pieces so not bad enough to send it back. As a whole I really like the shelf a lot just a few flaws.

Love it
Solid. Easy enough build-managed it on my own although banging required a second person.
