It's NOT too short!! Read the directions!
The toilet seat fits perfectly if you follow the directions. This seat allows you to adjust the length. When you receive your seat there will be one screw...screwed in at the bottom (look at the picture on the back of the box...see my pic below). You must unscrew that screw and turn the round hardware until it's positioned evenly outward or accordingly. Once it's positioned correctly, screw the screw back on tightly. Now you can begin to install your toilet seat and attach it to the toilet. Keep in mind that the top is made for a very slow closure so it will feel tight/heavy lifting it and closing it BEFORE you tightly attach it to the toilet. Once attached you will find that it works as intended and fits properly. A good purchase!!

The Most Convoluted Attachment System on the Planet
Bought two of these in two different designs and both of us absolutely LOVE the product. Why three stars????? I've installed one and have deferred the installation of the second til tomorrow (or maybe next year) because I used my quota of swear words for the foreseeable future. Unlike some who have stated that the seats don't fit (they simply can't understand the instructions), I understood and it definitely does fit. That said, this may be the most convoluted attachment system on the planet. Once you get the hinges properly sized, you have to hit the threads above the bowl BLIND with the bolt coming up from underneath the bowl. Whoever came up with this system is a sadist. If I were a foot tall and had x-ray vision so I could see the BLIND 1/4" hole to thread the bolt, I would have given this product 5 STARS.10/5/17 Revised to the five stars the product deserves. 1/2 star for me for being thick in the head. Someone pointed out that I simply could have screwed in the bolts into the top and then simply dropped them into the mounting holes. Duhhhhhh! We've now had the two seats for a month. LOVE THEM. I'd give 'em six stars if I could.

AMAZING at first.....then not so much...
I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED (did I mention I loved them?!) these toilet seats at first, so much that I bought 1 then bought two more. I bought all different designs, so I can even say that its NOT just the starfish or just the distressed wood design (in blue and gray). These were very easy to install. I thought they were incredibly sturdy and looked so FUN! The hardware SEEMED much more durable and higher quality than my Kohler (boring) seat. Well, unfortunately, I was wrong. The hardware seems heavy and durable, but its not. It's started to crack, peel, and wear after less than a year. My good ole' Kohler toilet seat hardware was years and years and years old with no issues. The hardware is completely tightened and now for some reason I don't even understand, it slides around like crazy. Sit and slide. Talk about irritating. Two out of the three I purchased have started sliding when you sit, so I am just waiting for the 3rd one to get the memo from the first two now. I WAS planning on buying one more for a half bath but now I am not even considering it. I am so disappointed and they were expensive to be broken in less than a year. What a waste.

Sitting pretty ;)
The toliet seat same nicely packaged for a non damaged item. The color of the design is crisp and clear and exactly as decribed BUT I was VERY dissapionted there was a MESS UP of an extra "dog ear" painted on the toliet seat. It looks like poo....when it is infact a printed dog ear soooo i spray painted the ear white and HOPEFULLY it stays that way. The seat wasnt too difficult to install but i did have more then 1 go at it bec i got it right. The soft close works a little too good. The seat is very comfortable to sit on, very comfortable. All around happy but wish the dog ear mess up hadn't happened

This fits differently
Update! I downgraded this. I'm going to have to buy a new seat after spending nearly $50 for this one. The fastening to the toilet keeps coming loose and the screws are plastic so you can't tighten down well. Now the lid keeps hitting me in the back while using it. I'm going to have to get a new one now. I'm just tired of dealing with it, even though I like the design.3 stars Well, got the correct size but it fits weird. You can see how it leaves a lip at the front that isn’t covered. My old one didn’t fit like that and you can see them side by side. My old seat and this one are the exact same size. I’m baffled. It’s pretty and I guess I’m going to keep it cuz it was a lot of trouble making the switch. (sigh) ALSO.. for those of you that have a man in the family, the seat will not stay up unless you hold it up while doing your business.

It's not too short! Rotate the round hardware!
In addition to this being a great looking toilet seat, it's made so well. On the back of the box there are visual directions on how to adjust the hardware to your toilet bowl. Like Vintage Green says in her review, there is a small screw attaching the round hardware to the toilet seat. That had to be loosened on order for you to be able to rotate the hardware of needed to a different position. The long screw also had different locations it can be placed. We rotated both round hardware pieces 180 degrees after trying the original way it was set up and seeing it looked too short. Once we rotated the hardware and then tightened the short screw, it was a perfect fit! I love it!

Love this toilet seat
Love this toilet seat!! With the adjustable fittings that make it easier to fit the seat to exactly your toilet bowl size, we can't be happier!! Was very easy after measurement of holes were matched. After holes are lined up and round fitting on seat is secured, then I put the white rubber gasket on, then the screw in the seat, then turned seat over and laid on top of porcelain so screws go right in the holes. (If you just lay the seat on top of porcelain toilet and try to put screws in from the bottom, it's way too hard) Hope this helps. ;)

Lasted a year then fell apart.
At first this product looked great, though installation was not easy - difficult to match a short round bowl and had to make a few adjustments during the first week. Then it works and looks great for about 12 months then starts falling apart. Bought the marble looking product, and started chipping off progressively, showing the under layer of composite wood. Shortly after the locking mechanism started loosening up and the seat would move out of its position. After putting it back for the fourth time, decided it was enough and binned it. Replaced with a sturdy plastic seat from Home Depot half price which can withstand regular cleaning (it’s a toilet so it’s being cleaned every other day at my house) without taking the risk to degrade under my precious bums. Only two people at home, therefore would highly not recommend buying this for a busy throne and if looking for lasting product, especially at that price. Bums disappointed !

Beautiful with an acrylic finish.
Looks very much like wood, but very smooth to the touch. The soft close hinges are a dream. And the vendor was very fast to ship!

It’s well made and value for money and so much nicer than plastic.
I love my new toilet seat. My father was a lighthouse keeper and it’s identical to my dads lighthouse. I love it. It’s brightened up the bathroom and fits in well with my sea and she’ll theme. It is well made and I am delighted with it.
