Be prepared to spend some time on installation!
Did lots of research and pondering before making this purchase! Primary reason was the wire free installation. Bought them even in the face of some not too happy buyers concerning battery life, which so far has been about what manufacturer stated it would be. However, I did mount both camera's so they would not see moving auto traffic or people walking by the front of our house. The 720p resolution gives a good sharp picture and mounting the cameras was a snap! Changing batteries is also simple and straight forward. My biggest complaint, the installation instruction booklet! The print is so small I needed a magnifying glass to read. Also, the choice of ink color is so pale there is almost no contrast between paper and ink. The poorly conceived instructions did not help speed installation. But, when I finally figured out how to connect the base station to my home wi-fi the cameras quickly connected to the network and showed up on the EZVIS app on both iPhone and iPad. Another thing I do not like is to not be able to remove the default Cloud storage setting when using a memory chip in the base station.

Not ready for prime time
I bought these in November and have been running them since Thanksgiving.Set up was a breeze and I had the base station and cameras up and running in no time. I have 4 mini trooper cameras, all within 30 feet of the base station. I have frequent issues with connectivity - about half the time I try and pull up the live feed from the furthest camera (30' away) and I get a feed error and can't get the camera to come on. Additionally I don't get alerts about 1/4 of the time when something passes close by in front of any of the cameras. I also have random occasions where a camera will become disconnected from the base station. Some of the cameras are high up, so I have to get a ladder, pull them down, re-synch them to the base station, then go back up the ladder to put the cameras back. Lastly the battery indicator on the app is totally erroneous. I have had a camera go from 98% battery to 10% battery overnight, but when I remove the batteries and check the voltage, they are still at full power. When I reinstall the same batteries the indicator goes back to 100%. One camera showed 50% battery life, another showed 90% but when voltage was measured, the batteries showing 50% in the app had much higher voltage measurements than the 90% batteries. I can't really rely on this set up. It's worth mentioning that I also bought the EZVIZ 1080P wifi camera (wired) and it works perfectly - very happy with that one.Edit 10/2020: I have now had these almost a year. The wireless cameras lose connectivity with the base station frequently and I need to re-synch them. Also 2 of the camera drain batteries very quickly. Due to random battery life issues I began logging the battery level on a weekly basis for all of the wireless cameras. They will show 100% with new batteries and will only lose about 1% battery life a week for 4 or 5 weeks, then all of a sudden one of them will drop to 10% battery life in 1 day. These are cameras that are in low activity areas. I am coming up to 1 year of usage and am looking for a replacement wireless camera. The EZVIZ wired cameras (WIFI but wired for power only) work great.Edit 4/2022: I am in the process of replacing the wireless cameras. At best I get 3-4 weeks off connectivity out of these, then I have to reset the router and each camera which means getting out a ladder and pulling all of the cameras down, linking them with the router, then putting them back up. This last time only 2 cameras would link, the other 2 failed to link. Time to dump them and get a reliable system in place.

IFTTT actions don't work so no easy way to pause/resume recording or notifications
I just received the Mini Trooper station with 2 cameras. The installation was a breeze (kudos for that) however I canāt get any of the IFTTT actions to work. The event triggers work, so I can get my D-Link Siren to sound when movement is detected, but I canāt turn the mini troopers or the station to sleep mode or privacy mode or at least mute notifications based on other triggers. So the only way to not get spammed of notifications while weāre in the house is to go through several layers of settings screens to turn notifications on and off.Without IFTTT triggers - one of the big selling points to me - I donāt find the whole system to be of much use as a home security system. I wonāt be able to get every member of the household to spend 5 minutes switching the notifications on and off with their phone each time they leave the house unattended or return.

Could use some improvements.
I have other EZVIZ cameras for indoor and are pretty great. This set up is not so great. I use an android phone to view the cameras and the Trooper is set up differently within the app. I wish it was consisted throughout. Also the use of the hub just sucks. It says it has a 300 foot range but when it is in the basement connected to my router it has to be closer to the cameras. Setting up the cameras to the hub take a bit but finally worked fine. Picture quality is good but the is slow to come up on my phone and sometimes times out. I set one up at my front door and takes about 10 seconds to focus due to the lighting conditions. The picture takes longer to come up when asking "Alexa show me the front door" through the Alexa Show. My one big gripe is the setting up of alarm notifications. It is on a 24 hr clock and you have to set up multiple if you span across am and pm and you have to set up each day individually. There also is not a sensitivity to motion like on the indoor Mini O cameras. One other thing is of the two cameras I set up, one already has dead batteries. That was after two days of being installed. They were at 92% then the next morning I got a notification they were at 12%. I am not even sure how that happened since I hadn't even set up a notification schedule yet and wasn't recording.
