Excellent, Excellent rug. No other words for it. You see all these expensive fancy looking brand name (although safavieh is brand name-it is an exception) rugs that are hundreds if you want a larger size. They are beautiful but I personally wanted a rug that was SOFT, CUSHIONED, COMFTY and looked close to spectacular.It was cheap, affordable, and the quality doesnt match the price.With rugs.... pick two: comfty, decently priced, beautiful. Well......This rug has all 3. Quality is the other bonus that most rugs dont have.No, I am not just talking about high luscious pile and thick-cushioned feel under your feet, both of which it has. I am specifically talking how much damage (READ: poop, vomit, curry, spaghetti stains, nail polish, the works of having boy toddlers under 3) a rug can take.I USE BLEACH ON THIS RUG ALL.THE.TIME.As a note, I didnt pour straight up bleach, but you shouldnt do that anyway for anything. Always dilute with water. I took a picture of the clorox bottle I use. It works like a charm and lifts everything up.For people who dont have kids or dogs, you might not care. But for those of us who do, the worst thing about buying such an elegant rug, is the maintenance.Is it easy to care for? Will it be easy to clean and get rid of dust, allergens and other food particles embedded in the fibers? Will the high pile stay somewhat high and super soft on your feet after a long day at work? Will it prevent stain and not discolored and dingy?Yes.I bought this rug for one reason specifically: i have toddlers and my youngest at the time was learning to crawl. My kneecaps were practically rubbing off from crawling so much on hardwood.So, my crawling/rolling toddler kept falling back on the hardwood and I decided to get a rug. Normal rugs werent soft enough. This Safavieh rug cushioned all his falls and he expected to cry after hitting his head on the rug when falling. Instead he was quiet, his eyes wide open. Shocked that a rug could make him feel nothing from his falls.I am not surprised. The rug has a super high pile and the fibers are THICK. No joke. It is more comfortable than my couch. I took pictures of the pile after having it for an entire year almost.I had a lovely ikea rug with a pretty high pile. Over time however it has become so thin. The fibers have worn out. The safavieh rugs fibers are still super thick. The reason? Maybe its better fiber quality but it seems to be that the rug has MORE fibers (yarn) throughout. This is why it is so PLUSH and THICK. Each 5 inches of the rug has more fibers than other "shag" rugs. Normally, a rug with more fibers would cost more. But this rug is surprisingly decently priced. Almost feels like it is too good to be true.*********My said wonderful toddler managed to also get through my nail polish and dump an entire bottle on the rug. I dumped acetone frantically on the rug, risking it would be forever ruined. The laquer came off and nobody, even up close, can tell anything was spilled.The second best thing as I said was how I bleach and bleach and I have dumped almost every chemical you can think of accidentally and purposely on this shag. This rug IS IN PERFECT CONDITION as when I first got it. Normally rugs wear out after a while. Not this rug.NOT A SINGLE STAIN. (Look at pictures)This is what you call quality.I know searching for rugs is hard because they tend to be expensive and very crucial due to allergies, kids, pets, quality and they arent easy to switch out since they affect your entire rooms decor. But-- this rug is worth it. If you're on the fence about it....... Just order it. The quality is beyond spectacular. Take my word for it.

I wanted to specifically provide a review of this rug for those that have robot vacuums but first a very quick review of the rug itself.This is easily the best value rug I've ever purchased. It's lush, plush, high pile and heavenly under foot. It looks stunning and could easily cost twice the price. Everyone that sees it in my home immediately comments on it. It's very heavy, very well made and comes shipped perfectly in waterproof tight wrap. Unrolled on day 1 there is no smell and the edges settle flat completely within 24 hours. I'm so happy with this rug that I've now purchased a matching 12 foot runner and a couple smaller rugs as well and plan to buy the same brand to replace some carpets in my bedrooms. It far exceeded my expectations and all the positive reviews are well earned.My primary concern with this rug was how my Neato vacuum would react to it. I was worried that it would attempt to vacuum it and get stuck, or worse, manage to vacuum it but struggle and wear the carpet. You don't want to use a roller vacuum on a carpet like this. I'm happy to say after several days and several vacuums that the Neato is smart enough to avoid this rug entirely. It will go up to the edges, immediately realize it's too high pile, and then back off and treat it as a wall going forward. I've read other reviews that said the Roomba vacuums will get stuck on it... well, that's one of many reasons I don't use a Roomba. If you own a Neato, this rug is perfectly compatible! Also as far as vacuuming, my Dyson works great on this rug with the roller turned off. I imagine heavy vacuums may be a chore but Dysons are nice and light so they work great.Also if you're slightly OCD inclined like myself; I've had problems with rugs in the past where if you walk on them they show your footprints, or if you vacuum them the multi directional fabric will show darker/lighter in one direction...I know we are in a minority but this kind of thing drives me nuts. I'm happy to say this rug doesn't have those issues. Walk on it, vacuum it, brush it - it looks great no matter what and no discernible difference in color or pattern. You won't find yourself brushing it to one side to keep it neat looking.If you're on the fence... buy this rug!UPDATE 6/15/18The rugs are still holding up great and still look new after many vacuums and lots of traffic. I had more house-guests this weekend and the first thing everyone noticed and commented on was my beautiful rugs. Everyone was shocked when I told them where I got them and for what low price. I continue to be exceptionally happy with this purchase.

This rug is absolutely beautiful and the quality is phenomenal. At this price point you won’t find a 2 inch pile that is this soft and luxurious on your feet! I ordered the 6x9 and it’s the perfect fit for my living room. Once rolled out it took less than 24 hours to flatten and the corners do not turn up. The rug is heavy but I was able to lug it in and unroll it on my own. Very happy with this rug. If you are on the ledge, jump now, you won’t regret it. As you can see, even my pets prefer it over there own bed.
