Good Cook Can Opener, Classic

The GoodCook can opener is very easy to use. I use it about 2-3 times per week to open cans of olives, tomato sauce, tuna fish, canned fruit...it works perfectly with very little effort. It is easy to grip onto the can and rolls smoothly. It leaves a smooth rim without any sharp edges. When done I just wipe it clean with a damp cloth. It is light weight and easy to store, and, bonus, it even has a bottle opener built in.

Works smoothly (replacing a VERY old one of same brand) - but this model needs a larger diameter wheel, because it will not cut through the lid on cans with the higher rims - skips in and out of the metal even if the handles are held very tightly together. Also slips more easily than the old one, which even after a decade or more of use still has sharper gear teeth than the new one.

I am really enjoying using this can opener. It feels good in my hand and is easy to use. It glides across the top of the can when it cuts with little effort. The handle is a little at an angle which makes it so much easier to use. It wipes clean easily nd is ready for it's next use. I love it when a product does what it is designed to do!

I've used several Good Cook can openers and this isn't that good. The cutting mechanism is smaller than the others. Better ones have been in the local grocery store.

When it comes to kitchen tools sometimes simplicity is the better option. When I was a kid we had an electric can opener. As an adult just give me an opener like this Good Cook Classic and I'm good to go. It does a good job of opening cans and it's comfortable and easy to clean.
