New life for my trusty ole Z2
I used this to replace the old incandescent bulb in my Surefire Z2. Be aware that there are no instructions so you'll have to wing it. Mine came with 2 springs. One heavy and one light gauge. After taking the old bulb out I realized that on my model no spring is used. After removing the spring, it fit like a glove. And WOW this thing is 10x brighter than the old wire and gas bulb, which I thought was plenty bright, 8 or 9 years ago when it was new. Just the reflection off of a window is blinding. So far very pleased with this purchase. If it lasts we have a winner. Time will tell.

This is NOT a CREE LED! FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
It's a Chinese LED. Also, it's not even close to 1,200 lumen! It is bright but not that bright. It fit my 12 year old Surefire C3 Centurion like a factory bulb would. I have one in hands and have ordered two more for spares. 2 star for false advertising, otherwise its not a bad replacment. Time will tell if they last. I'm betting they won't, so hence the ordered spares!

Nice color temperature too
A little to long to fit perfectly in my older model Surefire G3 Nitrolon flashlight, which this is not designed for, so the lens cap does not fully screw on. I'll add a little spacer to take up the gap. This is not an issue for me and was known when ordering. Other than that, works properly, seems well made and is far brighter than the original 80 lumen LED bulb. Nice color temperature too. While I have no way to measure the output, I believe it's far shy of 1200 lumens. As a single car high beam is 1100 lumens and this is nowhere near as bright. This seems on par with my 400 lumen flashlights. 4 stars because in my opinion, it's a 400 lumen light and not a 1200 lumen monster.

but it will go down enough to offer proper waterproofing and does not prevent good function of the bulb and batteries
A huge upgrade to the P60 bulb it replaced. As others have commented on, the lens cap will not screw down completely with some models (like mine), but it will go down enough to offer proper waterproofing and does not prevent good function of the bulb and batteries. This thing is MUCH BRIGHTER than the P60 and is significantly superior. For the price, I have already bought another one to replace the "working" bulb in my other P60 surefire; it's just that much better! I

Not 1200lumens it is a cheap replacement
Definitely not close to 1200 lumens. I’d say more like 150-200 compared to my old bulb...had to cut spring to make it work with my g2 surefire

Not built like O.E.M.
The base behind the reflector is wider than the original that came in my older surefire G2. I could not screw the reflector housing back together with the spring assembly attached. I tried reshaping the spring but that didn't work. Then I removed the spring from the reflector and it fit. It tightened up good and appears to be working fine. The base of the reflector mated up with the neck in the flashlight tight enough to work without other issues.

Decent replacement, one minor fit issue
I used this to replace the conventional OEM bulb unit on a SureFire G2 Nitrolon flashlight. It fit the light and is suitably bright, but it's a little bit longer than the original SureFire bulb unit and because of that either the flashlight head or the base cap has to be a turn or two looser than with the original bulb unit - I'm not sure if this affects the water resistance. So overall, this is a good - not great - replacement.
