The media could not be loaded.  When this fountain is in direct sunlight, the pump is getting enough energy to spray water 2 feet into the air. I live in Arizona, so this pump works really well. If I am not careful, the water can spray right out of the container. I found that placing it on a flat, level surface is the best way for the water to fall back into the basin. It comes with 6 different fountain heads to change the kind of spray, whether it be a single stream or multiple stream, they all work great. There are four big discs with different kinds of holes for the water and two smaller "sprayer-ends" that reduce the area of the spray to a single, or only a few holes (pictured).The manual is difficult to follow and there really aren't any directions on how to set it up. That's mostly okay, because it's self-explanatory, but I have been unable to understand what the three clear tubes are for (see photo). There is no mention of them in the book and they don't seem to connect anywhere.The collapsible basin is a convenient way to run the fountain, but it could be run in any container. The pump itself has suction cups on the bottom, to stick it onto the container to prevent movement, but I prefer to let it float on the surface of the water. With it stuck to the bottom, the water level cannot be very deep or it'll cover the solar panels. Fixing it to the bottom works great with the basin collapsed -- it is the perfect depth for not covering the panels. With the basin expanded, I was able to put more water under the fountain and let it float on top.I have the fountain running next to my patio, for the birds in the neighborhood to enjoy, which they are. This is a versatile fountain that could be used as a picnic-table decoration, or a place to attract wildlife.

the pool part is too small, the spray of the fountain falls outside leaving no water to flow..

Works great but it does require DIRECT sun. Small shadows have a huge impact on fountains performance. 1 of 2 did not work, returned for refund.

The media could not be loaded.  This was a little hard for me to assemble with the instructions given. I was mostly confused on why there were so many nozzles, but then realized that pieces can be switched out for different effects. The instructions don't say this well so I had to go to Amazon and figure it out, so I wouldn't suggest this as a gift unless you can help them set it up.I got this late August so sunny days are less and less. I thought I could still enjoy it, but just barely. It needs direct sunlight to work. And unlike solar powered lights, it does not store energy so it really only works in the sun. The second a cloud went by it stopped working.I don't have a yard but thought I could put it on the apartment porch. It looked kind of dumb. Like a dog's water dish. I like the idea of this but I think it will only work if you have a nice birdbath or pool you can put it in where it won't look weird if the fountain can't run due to a cloud.

The water has to be topped of 3 times a day

It is very tiny in height. Didn't open upwards at all. Very disappointed

Pas mal sans plus, les ventouses se décollent souvent du coup la fontaine se retrouve de travers dans le bac. Aucun oiseau n'est venu ne serait-ce y boire en plus d'un mois d'installation et si le soleil n'est pas directement au dessus, ça envoi des petits jets ridicules, voir rien et surtout, il ne faut mettre aucun des accessoires de type pomme d'arrosoir dessus car l'eau ne retombe pas totalement dans le bac et donc, il se vide très rapidement car le bac n'est pas suffisamment large. Dommage, ça aurait pu être mieux.

After a few hours sitting in the glorious sunshine we have had lately, this pump was up and running and doing its stuff!It was very easy to set up and I was surprised at just how quickly it was able to start working. I thought it would need to be sitting in the sunshine for a few days to generate the power needed to work, but it didn't.The birds are loving it, especially a little Robin that now appears to be a regular visitor since we installed this.I have cleaned the nozzle a couple of times, which is very easy to do. Other than that, I just leave it alone, let it take on the sunshine and enjoy the experience of having this simple yet effective fountain in my garden. The sound alone is extremely relaxing.
