Best book covering system ever created don’t even look or a second gas just buy this one
I’ve tried just plain rolls, I can do it but the static gets annoying... but sometimes you have to to. do a smaller or bigger books. I have tried numerous other systems over the years but these are hands-down the only book covers you should ever even think about buying they are so easy to use a five-year-old could do it, they keep your books in great condition keep them from getting wrecked, scratches you name it I would recommend this to anyone covering books and by the way I just recently recovered over 300 of my Steven king and related books in a month with three different sizes of these book covers and most books took under a minute to put the cover on one to figure out a system.

A highly recommended dust cover protection for your precious books.
I think I'm on my third pack of these at this point.I went on a shopping spree buying some hardcovers for the collection shelf and figured these would be a good idea to protect them. They are very easy to install, just remember on the slightly shorter books to fold up the bottom tight so the plastic isn't smashed when it's on the shelf. I also recommend in those moments to tape the paper to itself as well so it stays tight to actual dust cover size.My only small gripe, and it's not Brodart's fault, is that if you get a set of books that comes in a sleeve, adding these to the books will make it so they can't fit into the sleeve any more. The mylar is definitely thin but when you add them to a few books the width gets thicker.

Very good quality product
I’m glad I bought these! I used all 50 on the first day. They are super easy to use and look very nice on the shelf. I’ll definitely be getting more!

Fine - but don't use them for books without jackets!
I bought this pack of 50 Brodart book covers as a collector, to mylar-protect some of my first and second edition hardbacks. Here is how it worked out:-The books with dust jackets fit the volumes satisfactorily. My approach involved not cutting the Brodart covers down to size as expected, but folding and taping internally to resize, to eliminate excess room at the edges. (The tape never touched the jackets themselves). This worked out extraordinarily well, and the results are quite beautiful and sturdy, with the books reasonably protected. Only small caveat is that the Brodarts could stand to be a little bit wider, which left exposed room on the jacket flaps, but this is a small gripe (and not uncommon at all for mylar protected library books, by the way).-However, the volumes that I have without dust jackets simply didn’t jive with the brodart covers. Obvious solution was to try to cut off the white paper backing, fold, tape and tuck the plastic around the jacketless volumes, and this was an utter fail. The plastic is only 1.5 mm thick on its own. With the added support of acid-free paper and book covers, the brodart plastic works fine, but the plastic is much too flimsy by itself to protect the tightly woven binding of decades-old hardbacks. It is, I gather, possible to do this with a roll of thicker mylar - around 3 or 4mm thick.Would I buy these again? Perhaps, but not to protect books without covers.
