I owned mercury thermometer for many years, so I know how to use it, and I never had a problem with my old one until I accidentally dropped an broke it.I bought this as a replacement, and found it practically unusable. I could not reset it by shaking as I used to do. Then I tried really hard and succeeded after 2-3 minutes of extremely intensive shaking. My arm muscle ached on the next day. Maybe good for exercising but not to measure body temperature when you feel sick.I requested return and found I have to pay for shipment, which was almost 50% of the whole price.Then I got message from the seller with instructions how to use, as if I didn't know it.So, I will give up and throw it away.Beware: there is probably no quality control when manufacturing/selling this thermometer, maybe you will get good one if you are lucky or some unusable piece if you are not.

Very hard to read and shake down when I received the thermometer it was all the way up had a hard time getting it down hope it is working properly .

The media could not be loaded.  I got one that wasn’t working and it sounded like broken. They sent me not another package and it’s working perfectly.

The thermometer I received was not working (the liquid did not move). I submitted clear and detailed explanation of what was wrong and requested the refund. At the moment of writing this review two months have passed since I sent the thermometer back requesting the refund, but I still did not receive my money back. I strongly recommend not to buy this item, the thermometer is not good quality and the seller is unreliable.
