CRAFTSMANV-SERIES Combination Wrench Set, MM, 12 Piece (CMMT87325V)

For many years I was a big fan of Craftsman hand tools.Then, Sears went into a downward spiral and many of the high quality items that Sears had been known for became low quality items that still had the same label.Craftsman tools were some of those casualties.At one time, Craftsman tools were mostly “Made in the USA” but the economy changed and manufacturing went overseas.The tools still said Craftsman but their quality was a far cry from when they were produced in America.This particular set of combination wrenches is a nice surprise.They’re not American made but they are produced in a modern Taiwan tool factory which makes tools for some very high quality tool brands.Taiwan made tools can be extremely high quality and these wrenches certainly are that.I got them on sale which makes this set a very good value.The wrenches are nicely finished with no rough surfaces or imperfections detected.They feel good in your hands.They are a bit shorter in length than I’d prefer but then they’ll also swing through a tighter arc when used in a confined space which turns out to be a benefit.All in all I’m impressed at the quality of these wrenches and I will purchase the SAE set if they ever go in sale the way the metric set did.You’ll like these wrenches and I expect that they’ll provide excellent service for at least a lifetime or two.Cheers!

I use these daily for work. As a heavy duty mobile tech you don’t always have a lot of room for your tools, especially when you also have to carry parts and extra fluids. They are low profile and don’t take up a lot of space. The organizer is great because I can take both the metric and the SAE set on a machine with me to find the size I need without having to go back to the truck and having tools strung out all over the place.

Excellent quality. Good fitment. The offset box end really comes in handy.

These are the only Craftsman wrenches I have. Bought them on sale for $40, there was just no way I could pass that up. They're well-made in Taiwan, not China. I've been waiting to see if the sae sizes go on sale anytime soon so I can complete the set. I had stopped buying Craftsman products after they moved all manufacturing to China, as their quality suffered severely after they did. These are now the only Craftsman tools that I currently own, other than a couple of small toolboxes. I like that they are standard length wrenches. I already have long pattern wrenches, but they don't fit everywhere and can be more cumbersome to use. I reach for this length a lot more. I also like the recessed fastener feature on the box-end. They're finished very well, with an I-beam construction. I'm usually not much for plastic wrench holders, but this one is nice and functions very well. I still may buy a roll to keep them in later on, but the holder they come works just fine for now.

great value for the price, nice and slim profile

I have the Mac tools version of these wrenches and although they aren’t identical, these wrenches are a great option if you want quality wrenches without the quality pricing. They’re a little thinner, a little shorter and have a different open end angle than the $300 wrenches. This set also doesn’t include the 6mm or 9mm in the set. It’s enough of a difference that both sets have a place in my toolbox, but I’d be able to survive with just the craftsman wrenches. I’ve actually been taking the craftsman set with me on mobile ventures because they do save some space and weight and I’ve never needed a 6/9mm wrench before.
