My family has sensitive skin, so I must be very careful about the laundry ingredients I buy. I am a dryer-ball afficionado. I have been using dryer balls for 12+ years - back when many people didn't know what they were, I was buying wool and making my own dryer balls. My plain dryer balls were getting worn, so I searched for new ones. These were so adorable, I just had to order them. For those that have asked if they can be washed, the answer is, "Yes." I placed mine in a garment bag and washed in cool water on delicate cycle, then tossed them in the dryer for 20-minutes on medium temperature and they were ready to go. I did not notice any chemical smell with mine, as a few people noted. I would not recommend washing them too often, but once in awhile is probably good. I was worried about the black dye (as there is another brand that had issues with the dye staining clothes) but these dryer balls do not have that problem. My family and I have dried light-colored sheets, white towels, delicate clothing, and white socks, and these dryer balls just go about doing their job with no problems and no complaints. When they're not tumbling around in my dryer, these cute dryer balls sit in a nice container just waiting for their next assignment. My teens laugh at the sight of them. Hey, anything to get my teens motivated to do laundry! Yes, they do make noise in the dryer, but since I have been using dryer balls for many, many, years, my entire family is used to the noise. We definitely know when the dryer is finished! I plan to purchase more of these for friends, family, and as gifts .... and probably more for myself as well! Love them!

Per usual, these are an exceptional buy -- work as intended and very durable. Better than dryer sheets all the way around.

These dryer balls have been used for over a year and still hold up to reduce static and maintain my clothes softness. It really helps to lift the laundry around to evenly dry especially for bed sheets and towels. They do tend to get caught inside clothes as expected so make sure to buy another set if they get lost.
