An inexpensive and reliable all-weather lubricant
I grew up using old motor oil on my bicycle chains, and tried a few other household lubricants as well. When I started bicycle commuting everyday I quickly found that I needed something better. I've been using this product for about 2.5 years now on my commuter, my wife's, and our tandem. Effectiveness: When I first starting using this instead of non-bicycle lubes, I was shocked by the difference. This stuff greatly reduces chain noise and resistance from friction. It also does not gather nearly as much dirt and gunk and is easier to clean off when I do a full cleaning of my drive trains. I use this in all weather, from 0 F and snowy to 90 F and rainy. Longevity: This greatly depends on the weather. When it is very dry out, then I don't have to reapply for about two weeks ( I ride about 6 miles per day on my commute). When it rains hard, I have to reapply the next day, and I have full coverage fenders. Sometimes it will be fine if there is only a light rain since my fenders do a pretty good job, but not in a true soaking. However, it works fine during the rain; you just need to apply the next day. In the winter, as long as it's cold enough, then everything usually stays pretty dry and I can go a few days without reapplying. Conclusion: This is a great chain lube for all conditions; just make sure you adjust your application schedule based on the weather. And MAKE SURE you shake it up before use.

This is a great bicycle lubricant...
This is a great lube for bicycle chains and hinges. But if you carry it with you, as I do, keep the top screwed on tightly so it doesn't leak.

Perfect for gravel; not too wet, but doesn't wash away
This is actually 8oz aerosol. Its half the price of the other 8oz, so I get this one to save money. It works really well for wet Midwestern gravel.

Shake well
I used to use finish line, But that product comes in an opaque bottle, So it's not obvious u need to shake well before use. If you do not , you will use up all of the carrier which has no lubricant and the lube clumps at the bottom of the bottle. Total waste! Also finish line chunks can clog the nozzle of the bottle. The white lightning has a see through bottle so it's obvious when you need to shake it. If some chunks settled, shake it again. It works great on my bike , but I do need to apply It before each ride.

Not only lubricates, it also is a fabulous cleaner.
The White Lightning Epic Ride All Conditions spray lube simplifies my bike chain maintenance. I drive a Trek Dual Sport 3 on and off the road (mostly on) and like all bikes, the chain accumulates dirt. I degrease and lube the chain about every 150 miles (for me that's about every other week). I use mineral spirits on a paper towel as a degreaser to get most of the heavy junk off the chain surface and the chain shines. BUT, the rollers still need to be cleaned UNDERNEATH. This is probably the most important part of maintaining a bike chain and what I really like about this product: the spray version of White Lightning Epic Ride lube does a fabulous job here. I use it to loosen and wash away the grime that gets under/inside the rollers such that the outside of the chain (cleaned with the mineral spirits) and the rollers (washed out by the squirted force of the lube) delivers a very clean and lubricated chain. I let the lube drip for about an hour then wipe the excess with a paper towel and I am ready to go. I do this AFTER the ride as I want the excess lube to drip off and set up. For me that's about 24 hours prior to my next ride. The point here is that this product loosens, and washes away grime that I cannot otherwise access and it leaves behind the lube we all know our bikes need. Here are a few recommendations: Do not spray across the chain horizontally - it will blow lube all over the place. Instead, I hold the tip over the chain and use the thin plastic straw in the nozzle to gently squirt the lube downward (vertically) over the rollers as I slowly crank the pedals backward. I can actually see the grime being lifted and rinsed out and dripping off the rollers. I need to make only a single pass then let it set and wipe off the excess oil. My bike has disc brakes and any oil over spray (or oil slung off the chain) can get on the disc rotor and TOTALLY hose up the brakes. To prevent contaminating the disc brakes, I do not blast this stuff anywhere it is used on my bike; I sort of squirt it to let it wash quickly over each roller. I also place a sheet of thin cardboard BEHIND the chain (i.e. between the chain and the wheel) to avoid any lateral over spray (I use wooden clothes pins to attach the cardboard to the spokes on the rear wheel and dispose of the cardboard after every 2-3 uses - it's simple). I also hold paper towels UNDER the chain as I spray which catches most of the drips and I also put some rags under the bike. I just wanted to share some ideas as to how I use this product for my bike chain maintenance. I do not recommend blasting the stuff all over the cassette as is shown in the seller's video (because of the danger of spatter and over spray). It is a great product, does a great job for me, and as such I recommend it to anyone interested in good bike chain maintenance. Be safe and have fun.

Increase the life of your chain! Use this Lube!
I have a quiver of Stumpjumper Elites, a Carbon S-Works, Custom S-Works, and a 29er. I've used several lubes over my years of riding. It's dry and dusty during the summer months on the trails here in NorCal. Prior to this lube, I broke chains often because of crappy lube and dry conditions. Then I found white lightning (clean ride). With clean components, I will never put anything else on a NEW chain. White lightning is perfect for this, but it is a heavy wax lube and isn't good for the pre and post ride light lubrication that is a must for riding on the dry dusty trails. I loved white lightning (clean ride) so much, so I decided to try the epic ride. I haven't had to replace a chain since. I am an experienced rider and a decent bike mechanic. I won't use anything else. And amazon sells for a great price! This is the best LIGHT lube for increasing the longevity of your chain. It should be used for pre and post ride always if you are consistently riding in dry and dusty conditions. I highly recommend.

Good stuff
Good stuff. Cleans and lubricate my bicycle Chan and freewheel nicely. Smells like death and I’d recommend using it in a ventilated area or outside. I’ve also used this to lubricate moving and hinging parts like V breaks and basic MTB forks that squeak. Seems to work well as an all around light lube.

Good balance between durability, ease of application/cleaning, and dirt rejection
Like many of you, I have tried a bunch of lubes in different types. Just to name a few off the top of my head: Rock n' Roll, ProGold, Finish Line, Dumond Tech, Squirt... also Clean Ride from White Lightning. All of them are good in one aspect but not in others. Epic Ride from White Lightning seems to strike a good balance of everything. I have done a few double centuries (200 mi) after applying this product - no sing of chain noise at the end of each ride. I usually just apply fresh lube and wipe off the excess, no special cleaning like some other lubes require, and clean my chain once every few hundred miles. One caveat: I ride in Northern California, so I don't see much heavy rain, although I had no problem riding ~100 miles in light but constant rain with this product.
