Should I use liquid chlorine? Or would a floating tablet be okay?

I just put in about a tablespoon of bleach when I fill it...stays nice and clean

You can totally do this. I have a whole setup. Get a cover, a small intex filter, pool chlorine shock, clarifier, test strips, a chlorine floater + tabs, and a small pool cleaning net. Treat this like a real pool. Takes a bit of maintenance but really isn't too much work and it is worth it. I never had to change the water all summer! 1. After filling the first time, use pool shock. Test chlorine levels, it will take a day or 2 before it is safe to use. 2. Use filter by simply draping intake and outlet hoses over the side. You might need to weight them down somehow, but I kept the plastic end caps on and that was enough. Run filter every day for a couple hours. Get extra filter cartridges and change every 2-4 weeks. 3. Cover after every use. There is a cover on amazon that fits tight like a bed sheet 4. Use chlorine floater in between uses to maintain chlorine at the right level. Monitor with strips. 5. Use cleaning net throughout use to keep pool free of large debris 6. I used clarifier every 1-2 weeks. Optional, but keeps the water crystal clear. Certainly an investment but it is worth it IMO because now you have a fresh clean little pool you and the kiddos can use anytime without hassle.

Would this be ok on a deck we live at a apartment

Honestly, I would not recommend it without seeing your deck. The pool is quite long, high and large. To help you understand its size. Visually, it is approximately the width and the height of a patio door. No exaggeration. The entire door! I can’t imagine, living in an apartment, and the deck being large enough to accommodate this particular pool! It is large enough to accommodate for adults, (to just relax and chill in the water of course, lol! ) and for little children! I know because we’ve done it! It’s not a small pool at all. Not to mention once you fill it up with water. It’s very difficult to drain and is extremely heavy. Would your deck accommodate the weight? If my memory serves me correctly, the pool is also sold in a smaller size. That might be your best consideration. There is nothing small about the size of this pool. After careful consideration, considering that you live in an apartment, I wouldn’t recommend it. Honestly, my first response was filled with possible recommendations to make it work for you. But knowing the size of this particular pool, especially once filled with water, would absolutely be a bit much for a deck in my honest opinion.
