Very easy to, very handy case, and excellent assortment of hooks, cords and stoppers
I purchased this set of interchangeable Tunisian Crochet Hooks (TCH) because of the price, I am just starting with TC, and did not want to spend more than the price of these. I could update if need be. Does not look like I will have to update. The hooks are fantastic. I love the tip shape, just enough point to them. The yarn slides easily on the bamboo. The hooks grab the yarn easily, I am using Lion Brand Vanna's Choice worsted, size 4 yarn with the K, 6.5mm hook. It is working like a charm. I have a cord attached. It is soft and flexible and does not loosen. The end cap is great. I have a set of expensive circular knitting needles and I am constantly retightening and picking up stitches that fell off. The connection joint on these is really well designed. Now, I have read comments, on various sites, about the case not being pretty? Well, it is a great looking case, and more importantly, it is extremely well made AND practical. The holder for the TCHs is well done and secures them, but you do not have to struggle to get them out. On the right end there is a space for the end caps, WITH a very secure holder for the caps so that they do not fall out. What is there to complain about with that? The compartments for the cords are, as well, very well thought out and secure. I love that the case wraps and secures closed easily. Why do they say it is not pretty? I have no idea. If the look is more important than quality, that is a matter of what your priorities are. Even if I did not like the look, I would still love this because it is a convenient case, and well thought out. I highly recommend this set. The price of this set is extremely fair. It would have cost me a lot more at other stores, I did look. I wanted to go to a local store to get this set of TCHs, but the higher price at the store was too much higher. There are sooo many tools included, 9 TCHs, 5 end caps, and 5 cords to use. All of that and a handy, well thought out case. Way MORE than I expected at this price. .

A Great Alternative to the Expensive Tulip Set
I've had my eye on the Tulip Tunisian crochet hook set for several months, but couldn't justify spending $250. After watching a YouTube review that compared several sets, I decided to give Clover a try because of the positive review and the price point. The first thing I noticed when I unpackaged the set was the storage case and how the wrap-around strap didn't secure. I'll have to glue on or sew in a Velcro patch when I get around to it. That's my only complaint with the case. Love the variety of cords and stoppers it includes. The cords come tucked into the built-in pockets on the right side of the case. The stoppers are stored in a pouch that is sewn directly above the cord slots. You have to make sure the stoppers are tightly screwed into the cord. Because as you work, they loosen and eventually fall off. I would have also liked to have some cord adapters so that I can extend the size beyond the largest (which measures 24"). Also like the size range (3.5mm to 8.0mm) of the hooks. They glide smoothly through lace thread to worsted weight yarns. The only thing I missed was the sharp point of the tip (got spoiled with the Tulip hook). Aside from that, they're great to work with. Comparing them with the Denise hook set I got five years ago, I like the sturdy feel of the Clover set much better. I've never had a Denise hook snap on me while working wide Tunisian strips for an afghan, but I wasn't able to work with them for longer than 2 hours without muscle strain in my hands, arms, and shoulders. I can work all day and into the night with the Clover hooks without having to take an ibuprofen to combat the pain. While I like the price of this set, I wish it had come with cord adapters (like the Denise set) so that I can create long cords for afghan and bedspread projects. Gripes aside, I still give this set a 5-star rating. It's a great set for both beginner and experienced crochet artists because you can use the hooks for a wide variety of projects.

Perfect tunisian hook set!
These are perfect! The joins are completely smooth and I love that I don't need a key to lock them in place. It has sizes E-L. The storage case isn't the best, but it is functional. The circular pieces that go on the opposite end of the cables have a foam piece that they fit into before they go into the pocket to store them, so there is no way they will fall out and get lost. It has 5 cords, all a different length. The bamboo feels really nice in the hand and my yarn glides easily over it. They are also very lightweight. I'm very pleased with this set.

A very nice set with very few drawbacks, IF you can get it on sale.
I don't like bamboo crochet hooks and I don't like in-line heads, but I love this set. Yarn moves very smoothly for bamboo, there are ample cords and stoppers, and no extra tools to worry about. I've had no disconnection problems and the independently-rotating cords are a real comfort bonus. The hooks are lightweight and warm in the hand and the heads are sharp enough to easily get into tighter spaces without causing excessive splitting. As noted above, this is not my preferred style of crochet hook in any way, and yet I find these to be the exception to my usual no-bamboo, no-inline rules. There are a few downsides, but truly not many. One BIG caveat is that I simply do not think the retail price is worth it next to comparable sets, like Chiaogoos, Lykke, or even Tulips. However, I was able to get it here on Amazon for more than 50% off and it is still selling for only a bit more, and it is well worth that price... which then makes it much less expensive than sets of similar quality. Aside from the pricing, I have just a couple of complaints, and they are small. It's a bummer that there are no 7mm or 9mm hooks. Most sets do not have a 7mm so I can't fault them too hard for this, but given how common it is to use a hook 1-3 sizes larger than recommended for a given yarn when doing Tunisian crochet, a 7mm would be VERY useful. Likewise, a 9 or 10mm is a great size for Bulky 5 yarn and a number of other sets DO have one or the other, even both, so maxing out at 8mm is a real shame here. It would be nice if, instead of the shortest cord, there was some kind of piece to lengthen the hook for swatching. The shortest cord, which I believe is only 8", is awkward-- the cords are soft, so it hangs, but it's short enough that it's unlikely to sit on whatever surface you're working on. It just kind of flops around and I barely use it as a result, even if I'm just swatching. The case is a little weird but not of poor quality. It would just be better if it were a zip case, and I hate how when fully closed the top is still pretty open. Overall, though, it's a lovely set. If you can get it for that roughly ~50% sale price, it's a no-brainer for anyone who does Tunisian. At that price it is a wonderful starter set with a much better quality than plastic corded hooks or long one-piece aluminums, but IMO it has enough unique features to make it a set worth adding to a much larger collection, as well. (Other than my little gripe about the short one, the cords are really a dream.) I would also add that because of the amazing, independently-rotating cords, this is probably the first set I'd reach for to make a double-ended hook for Tunisian in the round or double-sided Tunisian. Clover sells single tips/heads, so this is eminently doable and a great way to expand the set. 4/5; points off for price, missing hook sizes, and an almost useless shortest cord length.

Fabulous hooks!
There are products that we purchase that take us by surprise by how good they turn out to be. This set is one of those rare items. I have heard mixed reviews. While everyone is entitled to their observation and opinion, I feel that these hooks are amazing. They take some getting used to since the shaft is rounded all the way. There is no notch cut out for the thumb to grip so this is the part that takes a bit of getting accustomed to. The hook length and the cable length are fantastic. I thought I would have a hard time with the cord since itโs not extendable, but I found it easy to use. I donโt know if clover makes cable extender links. I havenโt found any for the takumi line. It would be great if they did have the extenders for the takumi brand as these cables and hooks are not interchangeable with other sets as are some of the other brands I have in my collection. The shaft is smooth and does not snag or split the yarn which is the most importance of all features when Tunisian or classic crocheting.

They are perfect ๐คฉ
I stalked Tunisian crochet hooks (for this review TCH) here on Amazon for a while. Watching review after review for about 3 weeks. I came to a decision: Just get the Clover ๐ Takumi TCH set. Pros: They are easy to grip, and have excellent length. I have long fingers making where the hook โ hitsโ in my hand important. Next they are so smooth! Add that nice point hook head and you are set. BUT WAIT.. What about the cords? THEY SWIVEL ๐ฅฐ๐๐ฝ๐ฏ The cords are not fixed, meaning no matter how you twist the hook the cord will move with you. This means you are not fighting your cord as you work. The case is very cute but also functional. It doesnโt need snaps, just wrap, tuck, and store. IF there was a con: A thumb rest. Yup that is all ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ. This is by no means a real con though, A thumb rest can hinder someone because of the way they hold the hook. Its absence doesnโt bother me. So this really isnโt a con ๐คท๐ฝโโ๏ธ The price will fluctuate depending on Amazon or Clover ๐, but that is true of everything on this site. So I am very happy with the price. I donโt have to buy a separate cord, and I have the hooks I use most. Please watch my video showing these beauties. The take the plunge ๐ฅฐ๐๐ฝ๐ฏ

Perfectly nice set!
This is a really good value set - the bamboo is smooth and the joins are smooth and solid. Also I didn't realize it but the cords do swivel which is super nice. The hook heads are inline and slightly pointed like many other bamboo crochet hooks, and I really like how they hold yarn. I've used these for a few projects now and have had no issues. If I had one con it's that I probably won't use the smallest hooks in the set for actual Tunisian (since you really need larger hook sizes), but they are lightweight and straight so are perfectly good for normal crochet as well. Quite happy with this set.

Fantastic Beginner Set
I've been doing normal crochet for quite awhile now, but recently discovered Tunisian crochet and started to really fall for the designs it can give. I decided to get the Takumi set due to a lot of online recommendations and I was not let down at all. The hooks are extremely comfortable and smooth on the hand and yarn, the set comes in a very organized and sturdy (very pretty looking, by the way), and the rounded design they used for the cord swivel makes it roll along nearby surfaces easily so you don't risk the cord getting caught on anything. This was a massive plus for me personally. I would highly recommend this if you're curious about trying Tunisian. It's also extremely affordable if you're able to get it on sale like I did. :)

Smooth, light weight hooks
The crochet hooks are so light it feels like I'm holding nothing. It took some adjustment after using metal hooks for 8 years, but these are smooth, yarn splitting only occurs when I'm too hasty, and the screw-on attatchements are easy to use and don't come lose when in use. The hooks are perfect for both regular and Tunisan work, and the sizes cover a fantastic range of yarn weight. If you're looking for a nice set of general wooden/bamboo hooks, double up the money value and grab these. Even if you don't engage in Tunisian, you might in the future like I have. I highly recommend this set. As someone who plans to use these for travel, my only personal adjustment is adding some press studs onto the pouch that holds the 4 end screws and 2 on the purple strap to make sure nothing gets lost and it's all nicely secure.

LOVE this tunisian crochet set; very soft in the hands.
Wasn't sure what to expect - I'm a newbie crocheter - but having now used the hooks for 3 projects I really like working with this set. The hooks are very soft in the hands and work smoothly on the yarn. A bonus is that because the hooks are long enough - 6 inches - you can use them for doing regular crochet too (not cords), which is why I invested in this tunisian crochet set. Just FYI, you can also purchase a separate connector for the cords if you wanted to connect two cords to make an even longer one than their longest one (which is actually really quite long already since the yarn that collects on it scrunches up). So far, very happy with my purchase!

Smooth, nice in-line hook, sturdy rotating cords
As clover Armour are my favourite standard crochet hooks, and this set was recommended by TLYarncraft, I decided to go for the full Tunisian set and I LOVE them. They really do glide smoothly and do not split the yarn. The rotating cords seem nice and sturdy - I have big hands and a knife hold, so my palm can press on the cord rather than the bamboo hook itself. So far no sign of wear. I have also tried attaching a hook to both ends of a cord (instead of a stopper to one end) for circular Tunisian crochet.

High quality as usual from Clover
Adore this set! Feels very good in the hands and the hook is shaped and rounded perfectly so it doesn't split the yarn, zero snag whatsoever. I waited years for this set, thanks for improving the European distribution, Clover and Amazon!
