I got this to use with a boat trailer. It’s vital to know that you have sufficient weight at the front of any trailer to balance it properly for safe towing, but not so much that you risk damaging your tow bar, so this is essential safety kit for anyone towing anything.It’s accurate (confirmed via bathroom scales) and lightweight. There are better nose gauges, but none I think that are this light and at this cost.Easy to use and read.

Good nose gauge easy to use and most importantly seems accurate

Liked the look of this product, it arrived and looks good. I used it against bathroom scales which I know to be accurate. The scales measured 89KG against this device measuring around 55Kg. As the maximum ball weight of my car is 110Kg I can't trust this device.

🚐 Having recently received this calibrated aluminium nose weight gauge, I found it to be an essential tool for ensuring the required balance for my caravan. This is specified in the owner’s handbook, and this gauge makes it a relatively easy prospect. I am always slightly sceptical of these simple spring-based scales, and so I loaded this with 50 kg of force against a trusted scale, and this weight gauge did indeed measure off at 50 kg, as it did at 75 kg. Most impressive.🏕️ It was relatively easy to use, keeping the rear steadies just contacting the ground and winding up the front ones by a few inches. I could then manage the weight on the jockey wheel and slowly ease the weight down while keeping the caravan stable. I didn’t need much adjustment as it happened, and I just repeated the process once more to be sure after moving a few things about.📏The gauge comes with a detachable plastic foot to help keep the gauge in place while you are measuring, and after use, the spring inside returned to its position, ready for next time. I am more than happy with it, and it is great for peace of mind when setting up for towing. It is not a device that is going to get used every time, as I tow with the same gear in place for each journey. I just need to remember if the gas is full or half empty for an adjustment. ✔️

quite unstable to use, even with a wooden board beneath it, very susceptible to try and tip over. Weighed us at 100 kg loaded, and weighed us the same empty. so I am going to find a slightly easier one to use for future. I am sure it is fine for small vans and trailers.

I see this as more off a safety device than a mere set off scales knowing the nose weight of your trailer can litterally avoid major accidents ,Using it is simplicity itself simply raise the jocky wheel slide it under the A frame and lower it then read the weight excellent far better and more accurate than using bathroom scales wich is not only inacurate but very dangerouse HIGHLY RECOMENDED
