The tubing looks like it would be great tubing for that for which it was made. It was not great for what I wanted, but my use is a definite fringe use. I wanted the tubing to use as blade protectors for my hand woodcarving tools. For that to work well, the tubing needs to be fairly flexible (I mean almost rubbery). This tubing is not that. It really helps, for blade protectors, for the tubing to have a thinner wall. It makes it easier to shape the tubing to the handle of the tool. The wall on this tubing is “thick”!! It is way too thick for it to form itself to anything except a fitting of the exact right size. I haven’t tried heating the tubing with a heat gun to see if it will stretch, so it might work OK for me in the end, but I would have preferred for it to have a much thinner wall (I expected it to be). If you are wanting to use this tubing in a way that a normal sane person might use it, I’m thinking it might just be a GREAT tubing. It just isn’t what I had expected or wanted for my off-the-wall use. If you are looking to make blade covers for hand woodcarving tools, buy this, and make it work, let me know how you did it!! If you want to use this tubing in some normal way, I would think you would be happy with it. Thanks,

good hose, no troubles

Perfect as a condensation line for my new tankless water heater.

People have said this tubing stinks and it does, however it is vinyl tubing and that is normal. I let mine sit out in the sun for a couple of days and the smell was all but gone. I am using this as a backwash hose on a pond filter so the smell was/is not an issue, I just wanted to see if it would go away, and it did. I would recommend this to anyone needing tubing for outdoors, but I would not use it for potable water.

This stuff STINKS. And it keeps stinking. And if you get it warm, it stinks more. I really don't think this stuff is safe for potable water. It tastes as bad as it smells. Definitely wouldn't use this for anything that would go into your body. I didn't need it for that, thankfully... but what I did want was clear tubing that size. This isn't "truly" clear, about ever 3 ft, theres print on it to remind you that it's tubing, what size it is, and that they want to remind you of that. I could only use it in about 2.5 foot lengths because I'd have to cut out the 8" or so of print every 3-or-so feet so that it didn't blemish the appearance in my project. Thankfully I didn't need any lengths longer than that. But it's definitely not "truly clear".

I use this with a water pump to do water changes in my aquarium. The ends are sealed but I was able to cut through the hose with regular scissors. The hose does stink but I left it in my garage for a few days and it seemed to help a bit. I works great for what I need it for and it does seem true to the advertised dimensions.

Pretty pricey compared to the hardware store and kinks really easily. It does the job but will be buying elsewhere for cheaper.
