The box arrived, opened and looked as if it had been used. Upon opening each marker, they looked brand new. good enough for me! Just doing one swipe the crayon like pen is very dull. You have to do multiple swipes to get more pigment. Super easy to handle. Pleasantly surprised at how well put pigmented it is. Also love how easy it is to wash off. This is just running it under water a little bit of soap and it comes right off. My daughter will love playing with these! She has sensitive skin, so I will update if there are any irritants. Update* No irritation on skin still a blast to play with. The pink and red however leave quite the residue. I wipe it off with a diaper wipe and about two baths later it’s finally gone. So I retired those two colors, other than that still happy with the product. If I was looking for myself I probably would go with a face paint that requires a touch of water and paint brush. It’s next to impossible to get any detail out of the bulky crayon like paint. But for a kid to play and be creative it does its job

VERY pleasantly surprised! First, I appreciate the array of colors and the convenient storage / carrying case. Second, and more importantly, I am very surprised at how well these Face Paint Crayons actually work. I have found others to be very faint in color and not easy to work with, too greasy or conversely, very dry and tough to use on children's sensitive skin. I had no such trouble with this product and more so, neither did my niece and nephew who managed to cover my arms in small tattoo like drawings and free hand art. They also completely covered their own faces, with great ease. The kids really loved them and they were the perfect, quick n easy solution to busting out the full set of face paints and making a bit of a mess - again! I purchased several of the Blue Squid Face Paint products and I'm really glad I did. Like I said, after we'd used the big "traditional" kit of face paints the day before, these really were fun and easy and I maintained my status as cool auntie despite the fact I hid the other kits from the kids ;-) I really didn't think I'd get as much use out of this Crayon set but now I'm thinking this will be our go to for every get together and I know I'll need more for the holidays and won't feel badly about gifting these to my friend's children because they too can have fun without messing up mommy's clean house! Highly recommend these for kids of all ages. And, they clean up much more easily than expected. Great for Halloween too! My niece decided to freehand a Spiderman inspired theme and while it may look a bit like a cross between a spider and a hobo, she had a BLAST!

We were so happy to hear of and try out this new product by Blue Squid! We have many of their other products and what sets the twistable paint marker sticks apart is how little mess they make, and the shimmer they have! Many times when we pull out face painting supplies, the fun comes with a nice mess to clean up. With these paint sticks, it's as simple as twist up, design, twist down and put away. We love how compact they are too. The colors are vibrant and clean off nicely with soap and water. Thank you, Blue Squid for another great product!

I was surprised at how well this showed up in hair. I didn’t think the yellow would show up well in my kid’s light brown hair but a couple hours later I could see the yellow. These “crayons” are like pastels in that they dry almost like a gel or wax. Not something that could be left in overnight.

I love this kit! I was trying to decide what set to use to get started with facepainting after getting a quick run through from some experienced facepainters. I didn't want to invest in the more popular brands since they cost more and I finally settled on this kit. I like the colors quite a bit. They are saturated and not thin on the skin at all. The brushes were decent. I bought 4 different sets of brushes and the liner brush that comes with this kit is great! I tried to cut a fan brush but I messed it up so I bought another set of their regular brushes. There's a discount code in the box after you purchase the face paints, so I didn't feel like I lost out on much at all. The black and white large paint cakes that come separately are great for sponging onto the face for larger coverage. All in all, this is a pretty comprehensive kit for someone that wants to get started with something decent. I purchased my own sponges but this kit also comes with a few makeup sponges as well. I highly recommend!

I have a little girl and this are in her drawer all the time she rarely use them but they are good like really good, wash up very quickly and are so useful on the right time, for school plays, Halloween, even on pijama parties with her friends the can dye their skin and hair and wash it up with water quickly, even they server as a dummy make up.

Worked well and was easy to clean off. I used three markers for face makeup three different occasions before they ran out. The grey was a little light and needed multiple layers

They worked great but would not recommend using on car windows. Took forever to get it off.
