It is lightweight, sturdy and foldable. Easy to use with paperback books. Holds heavy cookbooks. As with any book holder you will need to lift the book out to flip the pages. The bracket that holds the book in place is 2 1/4 inches high so it does cover part of the bottom of each page. So you will need to lift the book up slightly to read the bottom lines. Well worth that effort as you will not have to hold the book as you read the main portion of each page. I have issues with carpal tunnel in each hand and this book holder lets me read books without causing any additional pain in my wrists. Highly recommend it!

This bookstand works perfectly. Although it is small in size , works perfectly for a regular size bible. Good quality ,sturdy,metal,and adjustable. Buying another one for a friend.

I often have a hard time holding books and this works great. The bar in the front can be pushed down for thicker books. It is made of metal and is very sturdy.

It takes up little desk space

This stand is nice with its adjustable angles. I have mine on the angle just above the middle, and it is holding steady, nicely.I am using mine for a HEAVY binder FULL of pages, page protectors and page labels.The 'page holder' can stay flat/down, for situations as mine, when needing to constantly flip through binder pages.(I am ready with hard cardboard to place between the binder and the stand to help the stand handle the width of the binder, but at this point I do not feel the need; the stand is holding nicely)This is a good product, and I appreciate it being in a nice price range.

I've just gotten back into reading physical books after being a slave to my Kindle for so long. I'm also the type that likes to read while I eat. This has been a big help. It's sturdy and I like that I can adjust the angle. There are a couple things I wish were different about it, however:1. I wish the bottom clamp was spring loaded rather than having to be manually adjusted. It's a PITA to have to open, close, and readjust the book and holder every time I need to turn a page. It would be way more effective to be able to pull the lever back, turn your page, then have it automatically snap back.2. This isn't the greatest design if your book is a thick, stiff paperback variety. It takes some work to wedge it in, and makes the book sit a bit awkwardly once it's in place. It would be more effective if the device was more of a cradle shape than a fully flat surface. The bottom clamp also doesn't hold as tight as I wish it would, and one wrong bump has sent my book tumbling more than once. Yet another reason to wish for a spring loaded clamp.Overall, the holder serves it's purpose, but if I'm ever in the market for another one, I will choose more carefully.
