This is my favorite strap. It is SO unique, and looks amazing. And that is where the joy ends. The day I recieved it, my mailbox itself smelled like a skunk had been in it Opening the Amazon bubble pack mailer made thigs way worse! The smell comimg from the leather or dye one, is atrocious. I hung it outside for over a week, and it still stunk up my home when finally brought in. Much of it has went away, but it will never smell good. It still has a bad odor.When I recieved it, all of the brass was tarnished green. Some elbow grease and Brasso polish, and it looked great again. I put it in the guitar case and forgot it. That guitar came out of it;s case a month later, and all of the brass was solid green again ... What is worse, is THE STRAP STILL HAS A DAMP FEEL TO IT. It's like the dye they used never fully dried or something. It feels damp, and if you wipe it really hard with a paper tpwel, the brown dye starts to rub off. I have been hanging the strap over a radiator heater for weeks now, and it still has the damp feel. I am going to watch it for turning green again, and if it keeps being an issue, I will try and find a leather worker who can make a clone from quality materials and labor processes. It is very sturdy and well made. I feel the leather or dye one is the main culprit for the issues I am suffering. But the stiches are even and straight, etc ...BTW, the leather is VERY, VERY soft and supple. Like a great suede strap is. But it stinks badly, the brass turns green constantly, and the leather does not seem fully dried ever. Other than that, it is SO SEXY looking! I have seen nothing else similiar even. Good luck if you choose it It's a labor of love.

The media could not be loaded.  Excitement turns to disappointment as I examined my new strap only to find defects. There is a very obvious seam running thru the topside of this new guitar strap. I could easily live with some of the dark blemishes that feel like gouges to the touch, but that seam is unsightly and feels like the strap won't last very long because of it.I could have it replaced, but I'm not sure that I want to keep doing business with a company that sends me defects. Better to keep it and show it to all my fellow bassists and guitarists so they know not to buy from this company.

Soft supple goat leather, simple but attractive design, easy to attach to guitar and adjust. Goat leather has a different odor than cowhide, but I didn't find it offensive at all. Brass decorations needed a little polishing to get them to shine, but not a big deal. Excellent price for a comfortable genuine leather guitar strap.

When I got it the buttons were all tarnished pretty bad and was pretty dry and sticky because of The veritable oil they use in their process. I had to go and get some tarnex and use them on the buttons to get them like the after pictures. I think it will work fine but was not impressed when I initially opened it up. I also did 3 or 4 coats of leather lotion to get it to soften up.

Wanted a 3" wide strap for comfort with my micro short scale bass. For a couple of bucks more than polyester straps, what's not to like? The strap is real leather, has it's own unique finish character. The strap is comfortable - soft enough to break in fast. Way cool & looks good doing it.

I love the width it makes it very comfortable to wear. It’s excellent quality and attractive design. I took mine to my local cobbler to put additional holes in the strap since I’m short . I love it!

This is a great strap. Been looking for a stylish leather strap that’s comfortable to wear. This is a well made strap, that looks and feels, more expensive than it was.

Well made, looks great, and comfortable to use. I might get another for one of my other guitars. Werkens shipped fast, however the USPS dropped the ball and sent it to the wrong post office (even though Werkens had the address right), so it took quite awhile for it to be delivered.

The leather is so soft, and has that amazing new leather smell:)...moved from Levy straps as I ordered another last week, and had to order this one which style is a little different, both awesome...money well spent
