Great hands on book
How to install Corvette interior kits this book includes C1, C2, and C3. Written by Fred Matson This is probably one of the best books you’re going to be able to buy on this subject. This is a restoration series how to book from CarTech publishing. It’s extremely well done. This is a first of its kind book, which walks you through the complete steps of how to properly install seat upholstery, door panels, carpet, and convertible tops. And how to do it right, and how to fix other people’s mistakes. I think it’s appropriate to mention that Fred begin working on car interiors as a teenager in the 1970s by hand stitching inserts into his own ‘89 Oldsmobile and working on several friends cars in his neighborhood. Soon after opening a full-time upholstery business in 1980 his auto trimming career expanded to showing car interiors for mini prestigious upholstery shops and restoration specialist in the metropolitan area of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. This book is 176 pages full of photos and text to walk you through any project you might be doing. It is divided up into five chapters the first dealing with restoration supplies and the tools you’re going to need. Then it goes into working with seats and interior components for dash panels. Carpet and trim panels are next and seven is a big chapter on convertible tops. In addition, there is a source guide listing all the different high-quality shops and where you can go to get supplies. Definitely a five-star book. I probably will wind up with two copies, one on the counter workbench and the other in my reference library. This is something I wanted to get into for quite a while, but I’ve always been a little leery but with this book I believe I can produce something of quality.

Great Interior restoration reference!
This book started with two critical areas that most books don't: Where to find the best restoration parts, and, What tools will you need. The remaining chapters covered the entire interior plus the convertible top, in a step-by-step manner. Dozens of clear pictures for the main steps, and also for many typical issues you may come across from prior, incorrect repairs. Many of these concepts transfer to other cars from that era like my Chevelle.

well done
This manual will simplify the rather labor intensive work of interior restoration in your 'Vette project. Arranged in a logical sequence of work progression and well illustrated with photos, it will save time, money, and mistakes for the weekend garage warrior. There are a good many tips for disassembly and assembly, many which, if unheeded, will cause, if nothing else, a good deal of frustration and a likely early exit to the beer tap. Worth the money.
