For safety purposes, during a hurricane or tropical storm in my humble opinion, anything in your yard should be removed and stowed safety away to prevent hurricane force winds to damage or cause damage to others...For example- Lawn chairs, grills, outdoor potted plants, bird feeders etc. During a hurricane something as simple as a bird feeder could cause significant damage from hurricane force winds hurling it hundreds of feet through a window at excessive speeds.

Q: how much sand do i need to boy to fill the sand bag?

We did not use sand. We put a 5 lb dumb bell in each one side e we were traveling with it. That was easier than using sand

Q: What kind of mesh screens are used? Are they suitable for mosquito protection?

They protect against mosquitos as long as they’re zipped up.
