Perfect gag gift
I wanted to prank my Niece with the “Baby Fake Knife Challenge”. It came in 1 day - durable , realistic design . We got tons of laughs tricking family members.

Looked great with some new paint
I needed prop knives for a project and honestly these were pretty good! When I first got them, they didn’t look that great, but once I modified them a little, they worked perfectly. They are a good, realistic size and very light. They are hollow inside, making them easy to cut. They also take spray paint well so you can change the metallic and wood colors to look more realistic. After those simple upgrades, it turned out to be a very realistic looking prop and saved me hundreds on rentals. Perfect for small creative projects and Halloween!

Real-looking enough, but pretty stiff
I don't agree with other reviewers who said this looked fake. From a few feet away, it's real-looking enough. However, it's not a good play knife for young kids, because it's quite stiff, and is very dangerous when used in stabbing mode. No, it won't cut anybody, but it could easily penetrate a body by several INCHES - - it's almost as stiff as a wooden stick. I'm going to cut the blade half off, and then glue the handle and half-blade to a mannequin for a "stabbed" look for Halloween decorations. One star for safety, 4 stars for realistic.

Perfect Halloween prop at a great price! We bought it on sale and it arrived so quickly & in time for a last Halloween need.

Pretty bad out of the box, but with some TLC looks decent.
I wanted a realistic knife prop for a murder mystery party I'm having. A lot of knife props are military or hunting style knives, so I liked the fact that this one was just a standard chef's knife. The photo they offered looked pretty decent so I ordered it. Upon arrival I was taken aback by how utterly fake this knife looked. Don't get me wrong - I wasn't expecting something mind-blowing,but this looked a bit like a child's toy. The paint on the "wooden" handle is sloppy and unconvincing. The worst part though is the blade - it's been painted in a matte grey and isn't at all reflective. Given that I went into it with low expectations I was surprised that it could have disappointed me. Not one to turn my back on a creative challenge I decided to try and salvage it to suit my needs. Without a doubt the thing that made the biggest difference was spraying the blade of the knife with chrome finish spray paint. Night and day difference that immediately made the prop 10x better. I took it a step further and painted over the handle with black, rubbing away the paint over the screw tops in the handle to reveal the dull silver underneath (by the way this is the same color used for the blade). Then I gored it up with some red paint (stop light red enamel for anyone curious) to make it look like a proper murder weapon. I've never done anything like this before but I thought it turned out pretty decent. I'm shooting myself over the fact that I didn't take a before photo. I guess I didn't expect I would be able to pull off anything given how goofy the original looked. In the end it's not too bad though! I think this would work fine as a stage prop where the audience is at a distance, or even a Halloween costume where perfection doesn't matter too much... but I would absolutely recommend using the chrome spray paint along the blade - makes a huge difference. If you're looking for something for film you might look elsewhere.

Complete waste of money
If you are looking for a completely unrealistic knife....this is the one for you! Worst looking prop knife I have ever seen! Would not fool even a two year old! Complete disappointment!
