Really eorks!
XyliMelts truly was a game changer for me! Several years ago I got an oral appliance for mild sleep apnea. It worked well but each night as my mouth and jaw relaxed, my mouth opened and dried out so bad it woke me up...more than the apnea ever did. I even tried TAPING my mouth shut..didn't work. XyliMelts work so amazingly, my mouth is never dry. LOVE THEM.

Some relief
Helped with some dry mouth relief. I have found the dry mouths from Swan co. Work better though.

Did I get a defective bottle?
I have really severe dry mouth, that has recently become so much worse than it’s ever been. I’m in the process of trying to get a Sjögren’s diagnosis, based on whole slew of symptoms. In the mean time, I’ve been trying literally every OTC dry mouth product I can get my hands on. In all the Sjögren’s groups I’m in, everyone speaks so highly of this product. Based on this, I had high hopes for it. I could not have been more disappointed. It flat out does not work. Does absolutely nothing to give me even a semblance of relief. If anything, it has made my dry mouth worse. It’s like the tablet sucks up any remaining moisture in my mouth. I’ve tried using them overnight, but wake up repeatedly due to how dry my mouth is, only to find the tablet undisolved, and my mouth bone dry. What the heck is going on? What am I doing wrong? Is it just that the severity of my dry mouth is no match for these? Am I missing something somewhere?

It works, but I won’t order Cinnamon flavor again due to mess it leaves behind!
I have SEVERE dry mouth caused by medications; this problem is so bad that much of my tooth enamel had disappeared LONG before I ever learned this product existed. It made using a CPAP absolutely impossible for me because the forced air from the machine only further dried out my already uncomfortably dry mouth/sinus tissues. Therefore, I switched to a dental “CPAP” appliance instead, and it’s the dentist who made that device (who is not my regular dentist) who told me about this product - which I’d be exceedingly grateful for even if the dental appliance hadn’t turned out to work so well for me. (I DEFINITELY prefer the dental appliance to a CPAP device, and the overall and ongoing costs for it are much lower, too! In fact, I now personally think the medical establishment should try patients on a dental device FIRST, before moving on to a CPAP if that isn’t successful!) I got the mint version of this product first because it was available sooner, and it worked well enough and tasted good enough that I will certainly continue using it. But I decided to try the Cinnamon flavor of this product because, in general, I much prefer the flavor of cinnamon over mint. Unfortunately, I really DON’T like the cinnamon version of this product over the mint version (I haven’t tried the sweet version and probably won’t) for two reasons. First, with the cinnamon version of this product, the entire melt is brown; although it’s easy enough to tell which side is going to stick, the problem is that it leaves behind a melted brown (cinnamon colored) mess on both my teeth and the dental appliance in the morning, which can be quite difficult to remove - particularly from the dental appliance (the attached photos were taken immediately after I removed it from my mouth, i.e., before I rinsed or brushed my dental appliance). I haven’t had this problem AT ALL with the mint version. Second, while the cinnamon taste is really quite nice, it doesn’t freshen my breath NEARLY as well as the mint version does - and I must admit, even though I’m not dating anyone so currently sleep alone, it’s still rather nice to wake up without awful morning breath! ;-) However, if those issues won’t bother you, then you will probably like the cinnamon version of this product just fine as long as you like the taste of cinnamon! :) I took off one star for each of the two reasons I described above for why I personally don’t care for the cinnamon version of this product. As for the rest of the bottle I purchased, I’m going to donate it to the SIUE Dental School in Alton, IL, where I’ve been going for all my dental care since 2014. That way, hundreds of dental students will graduate every year with knowledge that this product exists, so hopefully many other patients like me will be able to start using it before they lose their tooth enamel! Additionally, this shows how much I trust and believe in the effectiveness of this product (I’d give the Mint version 5 stars!).

Stains clear retainers and probably teeth!
These definitely work for dry mouth but the cinnamon (it’s real cinnamon, not flavoring) has stained my clear retainer and I can’t get it off. Is it going to stain my teeth? I’m not going to take a chance. Into the garbage it goes! But I will buy a different flavor that is clear from this company.
