Track style WILL Not work on the rod and Vice versa. **Q: Do you need a hub if you use Homekit? If so, why?** A: You do need one of the various Aqara hubs to connect all your devices to. The hub is necessary because it is the parent device that all the child devices connect to and Homekit communicates with the hub not directly to each individual device. **Q: I have a 1 inch circular rod and it doesn’t lock on the thinner part. Is there a fix to this?** A: The rod should have a radius of 25mm to 32mm. If you decide to go with the 25mm then and that should be even entirely. I use it with Ikea curtains I 3D printed a little extender. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not that loud *by T***A on July 5, 2026* Works as intended, I am very happy with my purchase. ### ⭐ Great When They Work, but Major Battery Consistency Issues *by W***E on January 17, 2026* I purchased 10 of these units. Out of the box, 5 had bad batteries. I returned those, but 4 of the replacements also ended up with battery issues. A year later, I’m left with 6 units whose batteries last over a year, and 4 units that will charge to 100% and then die within about two weeks with very minimal use. In my photos, you can see two units installed on the same set of curtains—opened the same number of times—yet one stays charged indefinitely while the other drains in two weeks. When used in dual setups, the settings also tend to drift over time and need to be reset. The pull-to-open feature isn’t very reliable either and seems to make the drifting problem worse.
