AJL has a unique and dedicated style to her writing which could only be described as easy-flowing and on-point. Her dedication to her work shines through on every page, in every book and easily takes her audience from just a reader to feeling like a character in her story.I dont think i have read one book from this author where i wasn't left CRAVING MORE, more books, more characters, more story... more, more, more! This is a warning to the unprepared... you will become addicted after the very first time!Bullets & Bonfires was a Standalone (potential series) which runs somewhat parallel to the LOKI MC Series, but rather than being MC based, its a complete opposite with Liam being the local deputy sheriff.I hate doing reviews the basically give a description of the book but im going to have to.Brianna and Vince grew up in a less than desirable household with a mother who was a drunk, had no care for her children and boyfriends coming through a revolving door. Not the sort of place anyone wants to stay, so the minute Brianna could, she up and left, never wanting to return.When Brie ends up hurt, she has no choice but to ring her brother and return to the childhood home that still haunts her. With Vince away with work, he arranges for his best friend, Liam, to look after her until he gets back.Liam, Oh Liam. Brianna's first crush, first kiss and first love. That was until Vince put the hard word on his friend and with bro-code and all, things abruptly came to a screaming halt! One of the reasons Brie left town...Torn between right and wrong and whats good for Brie right now, things are tense between the two friends. Can Brie handle the rejection again? Can they just be friends? Can Liam who's always trying to do the right thing, just give in, just bloody once?This book takes you from a hair-pulling, COME ON ALREADY, to oh-so swooning, hot and bothered. To holy f###! Omg, terrifyingly angsty drama, which made me shout "YOU GO GIRL!"Brianna is one likeable woman, who quickly learns to stand up to her fears rather than let them define her. I love a strong female role, and although yes she is, she is still soft and gentle, all feminine and a little sassy.As i mentioned earlier, this story is a "friend's to lovers" romance but it had so much more. The storyline flowed seamlessly, had a really good thoughtout plot and the characters exciting. I would be happy to read more on any one of them. We even got a little Teller and Murphy (I had a little moment of craziness, which ended up being an enormous anti-climax for a minute there?) Yeah dont even think you know what happens!!!!!Liam is just like every womans wet dream. Manly, beautiful but not pretty, sexy, knows just how to treat a woman and has a wonderfully dirty tongue! He might be on the right side of the law, but he is all baaaaad!The way he looks out for Bri and makes sure she is handling things, is so lovely to watch, unlike the constant torture they put themselves through!This book tuned in on some serious issues, without it being overbearing. This is what i love about this author, everything is so well proportioned and nothing is tooo much or over the top. You WANT to read non-stop, you want more when it ends, you want to be involved in this fictitious world! Its hard to come back to reality and realise, he aint yours, that wasnt you in that bed! Lol.I really hope Autumn continues this into a series? Im sure just like the LOKI MC this will be just as loved 💚 Not only do her books speak for themselves, but her large following is testament that her career change from law to fiction was her best win yet!Do yourself a favor and get arrested by this sheriff and his naughty men! 🔥🔥🔥😍🔥🔥🔥

Where do I start this review of this phenomenal story Bullets & Bonfires by the amazing author Autumn Jones Lake? Let me say I received this book as an ARC but had pre-ordered it in case I wasn't one of the lucky ones to receive a ARC but as soon as I got this I started reading it from page one to the last page, I absolutely loved this book. Ms. Autumn is known for her Lost Kings M.C. books and if you are familiar with her books , this book will blow you away it's not like any book of hers I have read. This book is the opposite of her M.C. books. This book is so detailed and emotional as always with any book she writes she puts her heart and soul in it. This book is so well written you know Ms. Lake went all out and gave her readers what they want to read . This story kept me up for hours reading. This is an emotional roller-coaster ride, so many emotions, twist and turns .This is a story of two best friends and his little sister, but she's not little anymore. Bree is Vince's only sister and he's very protective of her when she comes home from an abusive relationship breaking up with her boyfriend finally realizing she needs to get out and her brother says to come home. She has nowhere to go so she packs up and leaves . She heads back home to the one place she said she would never step foot in again. Liam broke her heart.Vince is out of the country and calls his best friend Liam who is also deputy sheriff of their little town to take care of Bree and watch over her since he's not there himself.Now Mr. Hot and Sexy Deputy Sheriff Liam Holister feels torn between taking care of Bree and wanting to kill her ex for hurting her so bad. He's always cared for Bree and thought of her but not in a brotherly way. He knows he should have spoke up but back then he didn't want to loose his best friend Vince.Now she's back and the sparks fly , Liam tries his best to remember she is his best friends little sister .The sexual chemistry between these two are out of this world.I love how strong Bree is after everything she has gone through.Liam is so sweet and caring of Bree that he just melts my heart .Do they let their passion and love for each other over rule the Bro Code?Oh my you just have to 1 click this phenomenal book ...whatcha waiting for? I promise you won't be disappointed. ...I highly recommend this book and this author Autumn Jones Lakes she is one of my favorite authors.AJL knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat. The touching story of a blossoming love between Liam and his best friends sister Brianna.After fleeing her abusive boyfriend, Bree returns to her childhood home to recover from her injuries, watched over by her high school crush and now sheriff , Liam Hollister.A story of emerging love and trust between the two makes for an engaging read, dealt with sympathetically by Autumn's fabulous writing style.For those readers that are familiar with Autumn's LOKI series, a few lovable characters pop up, tying the books together. This is however a standalone read , you don't need any previous knowledge of the LOKI series to enjoy it.

An excellent read, well written, on a difficult subject. Thank goodness there are men out there who are supportive of a woman who have been put in situations as outlined in this story line. Not forgetting the boys/men who also have this tough existence and are afraid to come forward. I hope this book gives you confidence to change things. Even though this novel convers a difficult subject, the author wrote with such compassion that not only was turning each page an experience, but she also made it an enjoyable read. Well worth reading.

Autumn Jones Lake deliver another fantastic read that once you start, you will struggle to put down before the last page has been read. Bree and Liam were great together the chemistry between them felt so believable. As you read the story you can understand where Liam is coming from in his reluctance at first to act on how he feels for Bree. Fans of Autumn's Lost Kings books get a great cameo from two of our favourite men.

A great book with a interesting story. A strong heroine who doesn't let a bad relationship and domestic abuse put her down, she rises above it and continues to live. And a hot leading Male who finally decides to pull his head out of his ass and goes for what he wants. I loved the couple and how in the end they rise out of the ashes after not seeing each other for years and coming back together after a life of despair. Much love for Autumn.

I really enjoyed this book.I liked it right from the beginning.I loved Bree's strength throughout the book. The way she fought back constantly.And I loved Liam. His protectiveness and how he tried to do the right thing in the beginning but his feelings were just too strong.I wish we had a bit more clarification with the case at the end though even though we know how it went, I would of liked to know what happened.
