I bought these chestnuts with no little trepidation, but they are really good (not all dried out or spoiled, which is what I most feared) . I shared them with a real chestnut aficioniado and he was also pleasantly surprised. So... if you like to have chestnuts for the holidays, try these out and save yourself the trouble of trying to store, cook, and then peel them. Just open the bag and enjoy them, and spend all that time on, who knows, making Christmas cookies.

I have always loved chestnuts. They are very healthy and doesn’t require much of chewing for people with TMJ this is a perfect way to obtain protein without consuming calories and fat. It’s a very natural oxygenation process when the nuts are exposed to air, turning darker coffee color bc those nuts are pre-peeeled. So don’t freak out bc of the color.

I thought these would taste like a "roasted" nut. They were so nasty tasting. I was not expecting soft and slimy. My husband also tried them. We both had to spit them out. So so gross!! I threw them away! The only reason I clicked 1 star is it wouldn't let me submit it unless I put one. In truth, I give these -ZERO STARS

My husband I looked and looked for simple chestnuts for the holidays - none of our stores had them. This was just a great alternative. They are easy to lightly broil right out of the (frozen) packet. We like to have them with a little eggnog and great old movie!

I have always been curious about chestnuts. These taste like soaked beans. Idk if that's normal. Also they are wet, and have a brine like smell. Not at all what I expected. This is not my cup of tea.

I love chestnuts and these are good quality nuts that’s peeled which is an added advantage. The texture is good and they are just right for my taste. Thanks for delivering in ahead of time.However, I receive packets at my gate/door so I’m used to it. When I didn’t see it I was quite unhappy that it’s not delivered. But I got it via USPS so it went straight into my mailbox. Thanks

I had never had roasted chestnuts, and wanted to try because of a diet change. These really helped me find a new snack to love. Thank you!

I’ve never had these and wanted to try them. I thought they would be like almonds or cashews, crunchy. They are not. The consistency of these roasted chestnuts are soft and mushy as if they had been cook in water. I guess that’s how they come. Just an FYI for anyone wanting to try them for the first time.
