Great for roasts
I like and use this a lot, but would like to see a few improvements. First off the hole and slot that the rod with your food on it sits in are way too big. Cooking with charcoal is all about managing air flow and unless you stuff a ton of tinfoil to fill these gaps, it cooks way too hot! Instead of drilling an 1 1/2" hole, drill a hole about 3/8th" just enough for the rod to fit through

Overall good product thus far
May need to adjust cooking temp due to extra space to be heated. If using a drip pan put it on coal rack not on cooking grate as it will deflect heat away from the meat
